Hi we are planning to a trip so CA over Christmas 2010
right now we are looking at 10 days...11 nights.
we will use a rental car to visit family in Brawley, CA, and plan to drive back to Anihiem area for DL, etc and then drive up to LA for a few days.
so we are looking at alot of driving.......
what kind of rental car do you suggest?
not sure if the roads from SAN to Brawley require a 4X4??
are the roads Wintery?- will there be snow in the area we drive through?
we will have 4- 6 people in our car, ( depends on who they drive with, we will have another family eith thier own rental car along)
so i am thinking with 10 days of luggage, and that many people, with that much driving- we want a large, comfortable vehicle - full size SUV( tahoe) or a mini van if we do not need 4X4.
what kind of prices should i plan for?
what amount is reasonable per day?
also.......we will be flying into SAN but flying home from LAX, is there extra fees for dropping the rental off at a different airport?
