Timing of DVC Discount for Parties/After Hours Events

Does anybody know the timing of how soon before an event you can buy party/EMM/DAH tickets and get the DVC discount? From the language on the web, it seems that you can’t buy day-of and get the discount. I was wondering at what point in the prior day you can still get the discounted tickets…


Backstory: we’re going on a 3 night Bahamian cruise in January. The cruise departs on Friday, but we’re flying in on Thursday afternoon. The Thursday we’re flying in, there’s a DAH in the MK. I don’t want to buy the tickets unless the weather looks decent. So I want to wait until the last possible moment to buy the tickets.


So is that last possible moment 24 hours before the event? Midnight before the event? Pre-6-AM the day of the event?
