Hi folks,

Only now getting around to a brief report on our Trip. Our aer Lingus flight left Dublin bang on time and got to CDG 10 mins early. Bags were amoung the first arond on the belt and went through arrivals to be met by our wonderful lady Driver from EZYShuttle.. I forgot to ask her name.. Despite heavy traffic we arrived at DLH within 40 mins. Got our ground floor quiet room as request in the east wing. Ate at the rainforest cafe and went to bed early as it had been a long day.
Early fro breakfast the next morning - no queues and into the park. Despite the forecast saying it would rain it was mild enough to go around the park in T-Shirts. Got on several rides that morning with some character photos and had lunch on the main street in the cake shop - the park was by no means overcrowded. Did several more rides in the afternoon but the heavens opened with a thunderstorm around 5. Dashed to annettes for tea and home tot the hotel for and early bed.
Friday was overcast but mild in the morning and we did the attractions and photos ops in Studio Disney. Disappointed that the studio tram tour was closed but they had a crane on it adding the finishing touches to the new attractions. Lunch in the backlot diner and met captain Jack. Back to the main park for the afternoon before rain in the late afternoon so we had dinner in Planet Hollywood and hit the hay early again.
At breakfast on Sat morning we had the feeling things were going on - the hotel was very busy and lots of cast members waiting in the lobby. It turned out there was a prelaunch of the new festival for the press and a lot of VIPS who each had a cast member escort them around the parks. If any of the VIPS wanted on an attraction they got straight to the front and anyone who had queued had to wait until they were finished. The park was as busy as I have ever seen it and queues were impossible. Had lunch in bar b que cookout before queing for photos in Woodys Roundup village - One of the best photo sessions we've ever had at Disneys - Once you got to the front of the queue you could move instanly from Goofy, Minny, Mickey, Grandpa Duck, Woody and Jessie. The Cast members even offered to take photos with all of us in them. We then went to BTM which we were disappointed to discover was closed due to technical problems. The park was so crowed we went to Studio disney as it is always a bit quieter but really disappointed again to find Crushes Coaster and Flying carpets closed due to breakdowns.
So and early retreat was ordered and last night dinner in our fav again - rainforest cafe.
Breakfast on Sunday was very quiet - clock change may have had something to do with that and back to the room to collect our bags and start the journey home. EZYshuttle were there usual brilliant best being 10 mins early and getting us to the airport in no time.

TOP 3 PROS
1. Ezyshuttle - Can't recommend enough
2. Great Photos at Woodys Round up. A great idea that should be duplicated elsewhere in the park.
3. Disneyland Hotel - you just can't beat the quality

TOP 3 CONS
1. VIPS Everywhere - Disney need to remember its that families that pay the cash for the attractions.
2. Huge queues for some character photos - would you queue for 90 minutes for ONE Princess
3. Lack of fruit and veg in the Resturants - only saw it at breakfast.

Anyway hope you enjoy this report and i've learned 1 thing about myself from this trip - I'm turning into a Grumpy Old Man.

Yes, I enjoyed it. :goodvibes Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time in spite of the queues.

Gawd no, no way  - but then I generally don't queue for anything more than 20 minutes tops at DLP.

Great trip report, at least you had fun before the VIP event started :).
