Vacation package questions.

Looking at booking a vacation package thru Universal for the first time. My two questions are 1) I see they require at least a $100 deposit, is that refundable if vacation plans change and may need to be cancelled? And 2) After making the initial deposit can you make payments towards the package throughout the year or do they just charge you the remaining balance on a set date?

Not sure about the deposit. I booked a vacation package of room and tickets and I am making monthly payments. It has to be completed paid in full by 45 days prior. We are booked for November. So I am due to finish before beginning of October. I also purchased the trip insurance.
