What happens to one time use points

I an thinking of splitting a stay. There's 4 days avail at the poly, but it's a lake view, so I'd need to buy a few one time points. If I waitlist a std view and it comes thru does it use the one time points?

If not I just wouldn't waitlist it.
Same resort, same days, just a cheaper view

Im guessing they get lost, and if thats the case its fine, I just wont waitlist the cheaper view to do nothing but lose points

My understanding is yes. But, once you have OTU points in the reservation, you won’t be able to modify it online and pull in those points,

So, if you stalk and find the room, and modify, you’d have to call to get them used,

Of course. I would double check with MS if you choose to do it.
