STILL TRYING TO DECIDE FOR OUR TRIP IN SEPTEMBER WHICH RESORT TO STAY AT . THE MORE I READ THESE POSTS THE MORE I CHANGE MY MIND.WHICH RESORT MAKES THE LEAST AMOUNT OF STOPS TO OTHER RESORTS.

I don't know about your bus stop question, but my 8 year old daughter just loves the Carribean Beach Resort, we've stayed there twice. She always wants to go there instead of the DVC Boardwalk.

Hi, I don't know if you consider the Ft. Wilderness cabins as moderate but that's where we stayed with our kids last time when they were 4 and 2. We are planning a trip next spring and will stay there again (They'll be 5 and 7). We liked them for lots of reasons 1)full kitchen made it easy to get up and feed kids while getting ready or a quick supper. The first night we drove into Kissimee and got $100 of food for the week. When we had tired ones we came home and popped in a pizza or cooked up some hot dogs, no waiting with kids in restaurants. Housekeeping kept our cabin really clean, even did the dishes!! 2) Lots of room for them to run around without disturbing anyone. The cabin is the size of a small mobile home and has a separate BR so someone can nap while someone else watches a movie or cooks. 3) Lots of activities at Ft. Wilderness, beaches, petting zoos, outdoor Disney movies with Chip and Dale every night, pools, bike rentals 4)pretty good transportation to MK. Short bus trip, then boat shuttle to MK. Shuttles leave often, whole thing took about 15-20 min. tops. That boat trip back was pretty relaxing after a full day! 5)We rented a car and could park right in front of our cabin. When going to epcot, AK or MGM just jumped in the car. No hauling sleepy kids up elevators or through halls. The downside is that sometimes for mom it's not completely a vacation what with cooking the meals, etc. But, I really dislike being in a restaurant with kids who don't want to be there and they don't eat what they order so it's a pretty good trade-off to do a little cooking.
Our quote for next April is $279/night but will probably be cheaper in September. Good luck deciding, it's hard I know! Karen in Iowa

To further confuse you... Seriously, we prefer Port Orleans (French Quarter) when we stay at moderates. Our DS (now age 5) loves the pool there. The serpent slide is very kid friendly.
We love the size of the resort... not a lot of walking after you get off the bus from walking in the parks. It just felt more intimate to us than the other moderates and more friendly.
About buses... PO seems to always be the first pick up and drop off. That means you get on first and have to ride through the PO/DxL stops before you go to the parks. We didn't find that to be too taxing, and it was nice to always get on first. The bus wasn't too crowded. And being dropped off first is nice, too.
I've noticed I keep referring to it as PO. I am talking about the section formerly referred to as PO, now named PO French Quarter, I think.

Both times we've taken the boys, we've stayed at Port Orleans (yeah, yeah, I know - they're changing the name in April). All our kids, at the various ages they've been when we were there, LOVED the serpent slide, even when they weren't actually going on it. They thought it was cool just to have it around. And one of my DH's favorite memories of our first trip with the kids was watching his own mother come down the serpent slide.
