Will buying through Orbitz mess things up?

Orbitz has a much better deal on the Cabana Bay than going direct through USO. If I don't get a package, get the special 2+2 tickets, and get the hotel on Orbitz and save $300, will that mess up the park reservation system or anything else?

You don't need to get a package at Universal. Most people purchase everything separately from many different sources.

Also there are no park reservations at Universal.

But check whether your Orbitz reservation is refundable. Booking directly through Universal is fully refundable until the week of your check-in.
