Hi! My name is Debbie and I'm new here, although not new to WDW. Since I've started posting, I thought I should take a second and do a little intro. :)

DH and I are big kids who are passing on our love of WDW to our two boys, ages 11 and 7. We are from KS but are currently living in London. We feel blessed to have been to WDW many times, including this past Jan. and have trips scheduled for Oct. and Dec. :cheer2: Last year we got to go to DLP for the first time and that was a lot of fun.

I've been spending way too much time reading here the past week or two and being among so many avid WDW fans has made me feel downright normal. :rotfl2:

Oh, and I seem completely addicted to reading the dining reviews and looking at food porn. :thumbsup2

Hi Debbie!

How is London? and How is it that you came to live there?

I sometimes think I have a serious Disney problem as well so I have to go back frequently for ...... therapy.

Thank God I found you !!! I need your help, and in helping me maybe it will help you with your Disney adiction since I am happy to be your 'project' .....

I have not been to Disney in over 9 years, stayed off site. I stayed on Disney property many many years ago (when I was 20ish) with a boyfriend and his family (don't tell my kids ;) ) as you can imagine my idea of what to see at Disney was different as a young woman vs as an egar to please mom so I am totally and completely clueless (again, don't mention that to my kids :rotfl: ).

We are staying at Caribean Beach Resort which seems to be a decent moderate resort (we hope) and we are on the Dining plan.

Our budget is definately moderate - we have our Not So Scary Party tickets and will be doing the Royal Table for breakfast but other than that no shows are in our future.

SOOOO ... tell me tell me tell me ... how do I attack the parks? My DD's are 11 and 7 , both are brave ride wise (don't get that from me) and also can't wait for AK.

What do I HAVE to do, what can we put at the bottom of the list ... etc.

I am seriously having bad dreams that we forget to go to MK, that we miss our flight, that all of a sudden its time to leave and we never left the hotel ... please save me from myself, I need some sleep !!!

London eh? <-- JEALOUS! I LOVE London... not as much as WDW but pretty darn close. WELCOME!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'm sorry that I don't know how to do those multiple quotes I see people do. :confused3

Sparkie, London has been a wonderful experience! We are here for DH's work and although we have had some adjustments and do miss KS, we feel very fortunate for the opportunity.

whome? My first suggestion is to relax. Everything will work out fine and you all will have a wonderful time! Second, I do think you should maybe start a new thread. My other suggestion would be to buy the Unofficial Guide. :)

lovetoscrap, thanks for the link. I will definitely check it out! And, I just have to tell you that your post really brought a smile to my face because you understood scrappin. :cheer2: (BTW, dad are my initials, I'm not really a guy pretending to be named Debbie :rotfl2: )

Thanks again for the welcome. I'm looking forward to getting to know people better.

Hi Debbie and welcome!! I'm flying out to Kansas next week for a wedding!! How's THAT for a small world (afterall...). I'm pea green with envy that you're in London - one my all time favorite cities in the world. Enjoy your time there, and take every travel advantage you can!

BTW, I just looked at your tickers and Disneydonnam and lovetoscrap, we're going to be there close to the same times.

Hi DizzDoll. It is a small world. :thumbsup2 Where in KS will you be going?

London really is great. We probably won't be here too much longer so I'm trying to make the most of it.

Hi again Debbie - we're heading to "Topuka" as my sister-in-law calls it. We're only going for a long weekend because my kids are in high school now and I can't take them out for long.

How well I know..........I think the highlight of Kansas is it's the start of the Oregon Trail, so maybe I can get the kids over to see it. Its not too far from Topeka. Oh, well, let's move on to Disney!

:welcome: You're in the right place, just the wrong topic. Go to the topics that you were asking the questions about and start reading. You're going to get lots of opinions. But I'm going to give you the first piece of advice, don't try and do everything on your first visit. This is the reason to keep coming back and not get burnt out on the first visit. Besides, it never gets old.

May I also suggest you do the Disney Vacation Club tour.

scrappindad - if you're posting here...you are not normal. :lmao:
