SSR seems like the best of the bunch...

I just bought site unseen and from my review/readings I feel it is the best of all the resorts...Kind of like going to Disney but not...Meaning if you want to enjoy the parks great...If not...Hang by the pool...Go to the Spa...Play a round of golf...or walk the grounds...I think my kids are going to enjoy it for a long time

All those things are true of OKW too except that we have to take a quick boat ride or walk for the spa and DTD. The other difference is that OKW rooms are much larger and cost fewer points.

Oh yeah...Forgot about that...Go to House of Blues or dinner at Fultons or take the kids to the lego store or disney store...etc...All without getting on boat/bus

And those reasons are precisely why I chose BWV over SSR. I like being in the middle of the action. When I'm at Disney, I don't want to think of the outside world, and SSR just seemed to close to reality (ie, the highway).

But I'm glad SSR works for you. That's why we have choices! It would be a problem if everyone like just one resort.

We stayed at BC last year and your reasons for liking that area are the complete opposite for us, It was way to crowded I felt like I was in a hotel, you could hear kids running down the hall, 45 minute wait for lunch at B&C...... You can have it!

You bought sight unseen and you have an opinion as to which resort is best. I'd submit you don't have enough information for an informed opinion.

I know they don't have food at the pool DUMBO but hey do you really need that sandwich especially withthe decline in food selections all over the world( a little poking fun not to be taken seriously)

Why does there HAVE to be a universal "best" and "worst" DVC location? It's a silly argument full of subjective opinions and priorities.

Every one of the DVC properties is a "best" for someone, even if it is not the "best" one for you...

Once you've seen enough of the resorts you'll know what you like best and whatever it is, your opinion will be a valid one. Right now you just don't have enough information. So I guess you've got some trips to plan, LOL.

Yes, Congrats and Welcome Home.
We bought site unseen too, and have been delighted with our own resort.
All of the people adding on to AKV are doing so site unseen, too, at least technically.
I think it is probably fairly common.
Now as for the best of the bunch???? Anyone who buys anywhere but the Boardwalk is a little crazy, so I wouldn't want to room next to them anyway.
Honestly, what a dull group this would be if we all had the same taste, right?

We love SSR too, and BWV and BCV and VWL and OKW and AKV. Shoot, let's just say, we're happy where ever we can get a room!! You will be very happy with your decision

Well, that's a pretty strong statement, but since you are correct it is quite understandable. BWV *is* the best (along with BCV, WLV, and OKW).

I haven't stayed in any others so I can't speak of them but I bet once I have stayed there I will think they're the best too!
But I stay at BWV the most...

Most folks have strong opinions on which DVC resort is best! And I think that is a GOOD thing. DVC owners who have a strong preference for their home resort are obviously happy about the choice they made.

FYI......I bought SSR preconstruction, and it is STILL my favorite even after experiencing other resorts.

I fell in love with a concept and then grew to love the resort more as it developed.
