Here's a bit of Food and DRINK Porn for you guys.

Lauren, I'm sending this drink for you & your DF too!

It's last night's salad with steak & the Limoncello Cosmopolitan.

Oh my Lord! Just the way I like my steak and the drink tops it off! Thanks for sharing!!!

I hope you feel better!

Lauren, Thanks and I Hope everything is fine with your Dr. appt & your BP.

That Cosmo was the best one I have ever had! I like them a lot but usually end up squeezing lots of limes to get the right blend of sweet & tart. Using the limoncello made it easier to get it just right, for me anyway.

Have a blast! I LOVED DL when I went for the first time this past March. I want to bring our DD's(just went me and DH) next time. Tell Oscar at the Carnation Cafe 'HELLO!'- if he hasn't retired yet-but he did say something about staying on part time. DL had a different ambiance about it than WDW. Although WDW is my first love when it comes to Disney-DL really captured my heart! I want to go back!!!!

Lori
That's the way I feel about DL. I've been going every 2 years for the last 16 years, and that makes it "home" to me. I enjoyed WDW in January, but it didn't have the special feeling to me that DL has.

Sheryl - I hope you start feeling better soon. That picture of your salad and drink has me aching for a yummy cocktail right about now!:dance3:

Lori - That pizza recipe sounds delicious!:thumbsup2

That sounds like a plan to me! (Ya know when Jenny here's about this she's gonna want in on it too!)

I'll bring all different types of the Abita brewskies!! Depending on the season, I figure we'll need either crawfish or Gulf Coast Oysters!

I'm just getting caught up. What's going on? It's been a busy week or so and Ed just went back to work yesterday. Yay!

Thanks. I have more to post (like the mushroom soup from Artist Point) but my ordeal with DVC Member Services today has postponed that until I come back.

Sheryl- you need to feel better Hon, cause I've got all kinds of drink recipes to post!:lmao:

Tonight we are having FloraFauna's (my friend from the NOLA thread) lima bean soup. I was craving it today and can't wait for dinner. :cheer2:

I am ashamed to say, I haven't even made an appointment. I have to go to get a sonogram tomorrow for my thyroid so I will get it checked either there or at the CVS. :)

Lauren- you need to take care of yourself. Between Lindsay overworking her shoulder and you ignoring your BP, the WFD'ers are going to be traipsing all over the country. You know we will.....:)

Don't know WFD tonight? My IBS is acting up & I woke up with the gut wrenching pain again. It's either eating that very rare steak, two days in a row. Or those yucky greasy frozen cookies (from school sales) that I've been fixing for Alexis. I have a ton of them in the freezer & of course when warm cookies come out of the oven, I can't resist!

What she said! :cheer2::cheer2:

I'd love to have you! My directions are like my driving so that may be a problem, but my DD will get you here. You can tell me about your DVC ordeal. BTW- your pics made my day today :rotfl2:

I'm just getting caught up. What's going on? It's been a busy week or so and Ed just went back to work yesterday. Yay!

:rockband: Jenny- I know that it has been an ordeal for the two of you, but realistically, he has recovered so fast! I'm thrilled for the two of you!

You all met one of my lurkers, Kadysmom, and the other one just popped in. Pookiepotpie is my lovely DDIL.

It's funny how easy it is to forget keeping you leg elevated when you go back to work. We used to have people come back after surgery and facilities would get something to help.

Glad he is feeling better.:cool1:

Afternoon Y'all,

Don't know WFD tonight? My IBS is acting up & I woke up with the gut wrenching pain again. It's either eating that very rare steak, two days in a row. The "real" Caesar Dressing I made last night was yummy, actually one of the best Caesar I've had anywhere. It does have a "coddled" egg in it, so I don't know if anyone wants the recipe. Let me know if you do.

Sorry you aren't feeling to well. I get like that when it's hot and humid, oh wait that's Chicago weather it's summer.:rotfl:

We are having leftover brat's and chicken salad sandwiches.

Well I did make dinner sort of. Grilled chicken, Glynis's potato salad, mac salad, leftover BBQ beans, hot dogs and the blueberry dessert. DS and DDIL joined us, and DH is still at the farm. He is going to get left over leftovers :lmao::lmao::lmao:.

Blueberry Jello Salad Recipe #47191
This is a great side dish that everyone in my family really likes. It's great for holiday dinners since it can be made ahead of time. Even my mother who doesn't like jello likes this recipe. It's also very good using cherry jello and cherry pie filling.

When the jello is set, mix topping ingredients together and spread over jello. You can use blue jello, I did, but I think the grape is better.

We had a very odd dinner tonight - garlic shrimp (yuck, it was fishy tasting), peas, and homemade sushi. The sushi was surprisingly easy to make and pretty tasty.

I'm just getting caught up. What's going on? It's been a busy week or so and Ed just went back to work yesterday. Yay!

Yay! So glad to hear this!

I am horrible at following up with things. I promise to go get checked. :)

Welcome Pookie!!!

Well, I had some extra time today prior to getting dinner on the table and getting A to baseball practice so I thought I'd try my hand at food porn...

Here are Glynis' Pizza Meatloaf Muffins, steamed broccoli and carrots and whole wheat pasta tossed with evoo, garlic, crushed red pepper and parsley. I added a few things to the muffins and used oat bran instead of bread crumbs...:thumbsup2 .

Notice something special in the pic???:) I think I have the knife facing the wrong way...mother would be upset! :rotfl:

Glynis, thanks for another great recipe!!! :) :) :)
