May 10, 2008 Ship of Thieves! Stealing the Magic..AGAIN!!! Panama Canal FL to CA!!! Part 9

Until Dreams actually contacts Disney, for payments or changes, they will not be informed of the assignment. My cabin was at GTY status on Dreams until last week even thought we were assigned a room in the early Fall. When they called to place my payment DCL informed them of our room number and the same hour it was changed on the DU site.

I HATE chocolate and so does Kayla!

Took Kayla this past week for her checkup. She wasn't too happy about the five shots she received! She was happy to learn that she doesn't need anymore until she is 11.

Worse news is that we had an x-ray done to see how the bone in her broken arm has healed. The break was near her growth plate, so they wanted us to have routine x-rays done. Of course they saw something that has them concerned. Have to go back to the orthopedic surgeon to have them look at the x-ray. Called my sister (she is a pediatrician) and was told worse case scenario is to put a pin in the bone. This doesn't sound good. Kayla will freak! Sister said that there are some medications that can be used. Guess we will wait and see, but we feel so horrible for Kayla. A five year old shouldn't have to go through all of this.

poor Kayla!! We are taking Samantha for her 5 year check up and shots (3 months late) when Haley has her 3 year check up in Feb.


I have decided that I am only going to purchase the small photo package....in three cruises I have about three framed and the rest are in the shutters folders in the closet....

Not sailing, but, will recieve the ship in Acapulco, looking at welcome festivities for the arrival in may and august.

I believe he is the same DISNEY fan that took the ship through the PC last time. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So he will be receiving the ship in Acapulco this time. That's cool too.

That is great news. He spent time with Seaulater on the last WB, so I am sure they will be looking after him again this time.

I had UKAngel and ulittle tinker on the jeeps tour.

Oh poor V....you really are confused. Ibouncetoo/Jackie and TiggersPal/Peg are sisters. Peg cancelled. notsolittlemermaid/Cheri doesn't have a sister coming. UKAngel/Mandy is definitely a cancel and we'll let you know the status of ulittletinker when we get it.

I hope this clears things up for you....any other questions, just ask. Since I'm working with the lists I have the advantage of working with the names of everyone and their status. I'll give you a completed list when it's finished and it will help you.

I am reading the live thread from 05 right now, the canal day starts on page 50, I am crying and getting chills just reading it, and I am seeing posts form several people from our cruise, makes me smile that we will be doing this in just 4 months.

I am trying to find out if Seaulater posted who the pilot was, she has posted several times so far.

Why is it that everyone else is getting assigned and we're not. I called Disney directly and after they looked it up they said that we wouldn't be assigned until close to sailing, but others are getting their assignments. Why do we have to wait? I want to know now. It makes me sad.

Kaylee, John pointed out earlier that the Seahawks are wearing DIS green accent color on their shoes, shirts and gloves. How cool.

yes he is - his name is Alvaro, I believe - I have been looking thru my pics that I had made with him during the day, as we were going thru the Canal, but can't seem to find it quickly. I have about 20,000 pic to go thru and I am getting cross eyed and and had to stop.

He is a great individual and spent the day at one of our get togethers in Kelli's room, until he had to disembark the ship in the late afaternoon. He has actually cruised with several of our 1st Panama Canal cruisers since the first Panama Cruise.
