OMG that Mickey/Pluto is from a pillowcase that I just bought, now I have some ideas on what to do with it.

I know someone that will flip over that horse outfit!!!! Oh Gris... :rolleyes1

Where di you find such a vibrant pillowcase? I would really love that one.

Thanks to everyone who replied and has encouraged me to go for it. ;)

Jham...you had asked how old my girls are..... When we go to Disney World in Sept, they will be 9, 7, 6, 4 and 2.

I will definately be looking over the links this weekend that you listed on the first page. Thanks so much.

Also, someone said to start with something easy that doesn't have zippers or buttons. Would those jeans with the fabric ruffles at the bottom be easy or hard to start with? I probably will do that and a basic skirt. lol

Jeans and simple skirts are the way to go. but if you ever need help we are here for ya!!

Lori should know!!!! Have you found what you needed yet?
:wizard: is the only place ot get some now. and I got some from some good friends. I think I have just enough now

Oops, I lied! I just looked and it's not the same. But here's the one I found for $0.99 at a thrift shop last week!!! Looks great!

Remember that apple fabric I bought for a Snow White custom? Well, it's tucked in the petal skirt!

That's the knot purse that was free at youcanmakethis.com, I just left off the knot.

OH, thank you! I think it will be perfect for something I have planned...

Wow, your girls are great ages to sew for! My girls are 10 and 2. I haven't done the jeans with ruffles, but I don't think they'd be too hard. Skirts are great, especially if you don't mind a little gathering.

I think I need to go to Wendy's thrift shop and find where she is hiding those disney sheets! I love finding new and different Disney fabrics so much I may never make my "I spy" quilt! I just want MORE MORE MORE quilt squares! :rotfl: :scared:

Since I'm not going to try to catch up, I'll just post some stuff that I've made lately.

Apparently Great Lily's think alike!!! Little saw this

Ne'r mind....HERE there shouldbe a picture of one very adorable girl named Lily in her Cinderella Zuma outfit but I don't have the patience to go back and try it again, besides, Little is fading fast and insisting on twirling my ears!!

and said..." I want to be that one!!!!" Whose idea was it to case those Princess Zuma's anyway??? Jeesh! At least I know it was a good idea. Planning on doing an Ariel one for her Mermaid B-day, looks like we'll need a cindy one too...SHUCKS, I really wanted to do Snow white. EH, what'r'ya gonna do?

...t.

Thanks, my Lily loves hers! She feels so pretty in it she even calls it a dress! I want to do the Snow White one too. I also thought about an Ariel one but couldn't find a good enough fabric for her zuma "tail". I need sparkly blue-green :confused3

I love these sheets! Especially the Disney World one!!! That is great!!! Apparently, I need to hit me some thrift shops!!!

Do you have free instructions that you use to make these bows? I have found a lot of free tutorials online, but not for bows like these. They are beautiful!

No, I do not have any instructions. My mom never taught be how to sew, but she taught me how to tie a bow. I just knida of played around with different bows and looked at stuff on :wizard: The center of the black and white bow is a snowflake I painted. Thanks, It will be a sad day when DD does not want to wear them any more.

I'm way behind on the thread, but I wanted to share my birthday boy! Wyatt turns 6 today (well, officially at 9:22 tonight ;) ). Last night I decided to whip up a birthday shirt for him to wear to school today. Nothing fancy, but he loves it. I'm sure he'll also wear it to his party on Sunday.

I used to have these sheets!!!!!!!!
Who knew I would grow up to live near the Mouse LOL

Ok, question about the Minnie Dot fabric. I checked out etsy and there was someone who has the Michael Miller one listed as being new for 2008. Is that not the same as the one that was discontinued? I did look on :wizard: and it was around $10 a yard. Ugh, but I guess if I want it I will have to pay that price.

Mom and I are hitting our Joann's tomorrow to see what they have in Disney fabric. 2 months to go so we better start planning the outfits now!:goodvibes

the hancock dots are bigger than the MM print ones. MM did come out with a different dot than he previously had.

I don't have all girls, but we also have 5 under 9! When we go to WDW in Oct. they will be 9, 7, 5, 3, 11 months :) There is never a dull moment is there? ;)
I can't wait to see what you create!

Cute! I love his smile! Happy Birthday!:cake: :cake: :bday:

Cathy - I lost your PA pictures! Looks like you all had a great time. That pool/water park is great!

I HATE to cut fabric, so I sat down and cut out the fabric for 7 different outfits a few days ago. So far, I've completed this one, and a matching Build-A-Bear dress. Tessa's going to wear this on the day that Sawyer wears his Peter Pan costume and Lydia will wear a Tinkerbell dress. I frankenpatterned the portrait peasant top for the top and CarlaC's a-line jumper for the bottom half. I don't have a picture of Tessa modeling it yet. It fits like a long shirt and she'll wear some capris under it.

Here's Nana on the back:

I'm almost done with a minnie dot jumper (and matching Build-A-Bear dress), too. Hopefully I'll finish them today.

This is so unique Heather!! I love it and that blue is going to look so beautiful on Tessa!

Barbara update: She just called me and told me that the sonogram they did on her left breast a few days ago was clear. The cancer they have already found is in her right breast.

After Teresa forwarded a very helpful PM from CampbellScott (thank you so much:hug:). to me, I called and made Barbara an appointment with an oncologist at our local cancer center. Then, I called her and let her know she had an appointment. She seemed really glad that I did that for her. I didn't want to overstep the boundaries, but I also really wanted her to see an oncologist. Barbara is mildly mentally challenged and also deaf, so it's really hard for her to communicate with doctors. My brother is really stressed out about everything and doesn't seem to know what to do. So, I really hope they don't mind us "interfering".

I went back and read all the well-wishes and prayers that are being sent our way. You guys are so wonderful. :grouphug:

If I were in Barbara's position I would be thrilled that you had done that on my behalf!! I'm still keeping all of you in my prayers.

Now that this is done I can get started on my first Disney outfit!!
I think a ruffled top and shorts.....

I think this is darling!! It may be longer than you had pictured, but it really looks just fine on her. What a cutie!

Here is Megan's new dress:

WOW!! I'm trying to decide if I want ONE of my own! I'm sure y'all always have something going on!!! I'll bet your Disney trip is going to be BUSY and a lot of fun!!

I've got that baby bug...but i'm also a worry wart...and afraid of giving birth.

My mother says that being a "wee chicken" is NOT an excuse to deprive her of grandchildren!:lmao:

we'll see!

Have fun on your trip!!

:goodvibes

Ok, I finally have couple things to share. Here's the dress that I made dd for dinner at Ohana.

Finally, the sleeping beauty gown that I have been working on forever! It is not perfect, but I am quite happy with how it turned out despite the messy seams on the inside! I am not sure if I want to attempt anything like that again!!!
