Hi, feel free to hijack away!
Well, I'm not sure what tips you are looking for, but I can tell you about our experience there. All the staff was helpful, check in was quick. The hotel itself is really nice.
I was there with my husband and four kids (ages at the time were 10, 10, 13 and 15). They loved it. Beds were comfy. We ate breakfast at the buffet and it was good. Not spectacular, but good, and we had two for one coupons in a book they gave us at check-in. No food court area, which I missed, but there is a McDonalds on Fremont. It's nice to be able to walk outside the door and see the Fremont experience/show.
The pool area was so fun. The kids loved the water slide. It does get BUSY in summer, not sure how it will be during spring break. I'd advise getting there early. Lots of families when we were there. The only thing I didn't like is the cabanas are on the second floor, above the pool, which makes no sense to me. So if you are looking into renting a cabana, keep that in mind. But the shark tank is sooooo cool. Really something to see in person.
If you plan to do a lot on the Strip, and don't have a car, the taxi fees will add up quickly. We are local so of course we had our car with us which made it much easier.
I've actually stayed there twice with family in a basic room, and once with just my husband in an upgraded room. Both were nice. Tripadvisor has some great travelers photos on there of the different rooms and the pool. During the week, we payed $35 which is so cheap. Great deals to be found.
If you have any specific questions, please let me know! If I can help, I'll be happy to do so.
