I am looking at coming in on Thursday....maybe Wednesday evening. I was planning on leaving on that Tuesday, but one of my roomies will be leaving on Monday. Not sure on the other one and on MIL.

I will be doing the Scavenger Hunt....not sure what kind of pace I want for that though. Maybe a fast walking??

Beth, If I come in on Wednesday I will have breakfast with you and the lovely princesses!!! That would be so much fun!!

I will be attending the meet and greet!! Sounds like so much fun!!

I guess that I need to go back over the thread and see what else I need to respond to.

Daisy

I think they will also only allow 5 in the kids suite? I believe that is what Laurie had found out?

You have to get 2 rooms at HoJo for a family of 6. We're having to do this in October.....totally sucks since the twins won't even be sleeping up on a bed. But it's the fire codes & there's no way around it.

I plan on being there Thursday am to Monday pm!!

Interested in doing the BBQ, character meal, Jazz Kitchen, Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe (if breakfast) & the Fantasmic Dessert Seating.

Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour
I still have yet to do it and didn't have the $$ to last year. Is there anyone else who still hasn't done this who would want to?
I would like to do this :cool2:

I suppose I will come this next year....if you insist. :rotfl:

I'll be arriving Friday evening and leaving Sunday evening.
I'm a repeat offender !
I can't wait for this trip, as I said in the past, they get better and better !
I'm looking forward to the fun, good food and seeing everyone again.
Not sure where Sarah and I are staying yet.

Got your days, Laurie. Thanks.
And just to make sure everyone is clear, we aren't taking actual sign-ups for meals yet. I mean, feel free to share what you are interested in, but official sign-ups won't be until October. Just an fyi. :thumbsup2

I would like to do this :cool2:
Jen, if you are interested in the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, and so is Jess, would either of you be interested in overseeing and arranging this? (calling for info, times, taking sign-ups, posting info, etc)
I've taken the tour before so I will not be interested this time around, but for anyone who hasn't done it, I highly recommend it. ::yes::

Hi Trudi!
You and Sarah should join those of us "slumming" it at the Hojo. :lmao:

Speaking of Hojo, does anyone on the Meet and Greet committee know if you've contacted the hotel regarding the conference room yet? Or the Carousel?
If we don't have very many ladies staying at either place, the hotels probably won't be too eager to loan out their party rooms for free. We should probably find out first, which place has their room still available and what the price would be. Just a thought. :goodvibes

Hi Marie :wave2: It's always nice to see another Canadian Disney fan!!

I'll be coming down on Wednesday and staying probably until Sunday (depends on the flights back home). I would LOVE to do the Princess breakfast on Thursday a.m. Never done it before and really, can you have too much princess time??? (Jessica, don't answer that!!!) I already have my brand new tiara waiting for the trip!!!

Daisy - it would be great if you come down on Wednesday :thumbsup2

I have to take time later this evening to reply to some posts but before I forget does anyone shop at Borders/Waldenbooks? I have like $5.99 left on a giftcard that I'm not going to use since our local store closed a month or two ago. If anyone wants it, let me know.

:cool1::cool1:Woo Whoo! Woo Whoo! :cool1::cool1:

I feel like a true Dis Diva now...I have a cool signature block. Mucho kudos to Jess. I love it and the instructions you gave were perfect. It worked first try out. Thanks, thanks and more thanks!

Beth - please count me in on definately going list. I will be there late Wednesday or early Thursday through Sunday. When I come and go is going to depend on flight times. I want to be down there for all day Thursday so breakfast may be good.

I wouldn't miss the meet and greet!

Also, all the planning you're doing is wonderful. I'm pretty easy with where we eat so I think the choices so far are great.

Bridget and Mel - I think you already have me down for the scavenger hunt but I just wanted to put it in writing. According to Bridget, I'm a marathoner. And also please put with Bridget's friend Lisa. Totally looking forward to this event - glad you picked the morning because it was really hot last time.

I would like to do this :cool2:

:rotfl2: Do you need me to twist your arm???

I can't wait for this trip, as I said in the past, they get better and better !

I couldn't agree more Trudi. I was excited last time but so much more this time. I can't wait to see old friends, meet new ones and maybe have a mickey bar (or two) :goodvibes.

Ursala is exactly how I'm feeling with my kids right now. If only I could steal their voices for a day, all I hear is fighting from the time they get up until they go to bed:(
LOL! That's funny!

I have a random fact for all the other Next Food Network Star lovers out there. Vic Vegas used to run a sandwich shop less than a block from my office. It was called High Roller Deli and it was very popular with both students and faculty. I am actually not sure why it closed, but when it did, everyone was really sad.

So, this is actually the first time I have been watching the show with any regularity, and I am totally rooting for Vic. But, I also like Jyll and Whitney.

Oh, and the original Next Food Network star is a UNLV alum and was a member of one of our fraternities. I have met him a couple times, including at Toy Story Mania two years ago when he was at DLR filming the Disneyland Christmas Food special. He is totally down to earth and so much fun. The best part was that his son Hunter (who was on the special with him) didn't want to sit next to Guy on the ride and Guy was totally offended, but in a joking way. It was so cute watching the two of them interact.
Ooh! I love Guy Fieri! We love to watch Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

I also discovered HGTV's "Make me a Disney backyard" episodes. Where was I for sign-ups for that?! I am so jealous of the people with these amazing Disney yards. I love the pirate themed backyard, but they wasted pool space with the stupid 18 inch wading pool. Your kids only stay small for a few years, then you have a wasted area.
Hey, I just saw that episode yesterday. Such a cool backyard, but you are right about the wading pool. :headache:

You both look awesome! I love her. I follow her blog on Facebook.
Lisa, Aartii came to our area for a Food Festival. I was so excited to see her. She gave a demo, and afterwards, I zoomed in to meet her and take a pic! She's funny and sweet.

Um, there's a food network? Sorry, I only eat food, not cook it or watch it.

Here, here!

:thumbsup2 Agree! Anything related to the kitchen is a chore I don't enjoy.
YOu ladies, just don't know what you are missing! :rotfl:

:lmao: Just for future reference, if it's in a post by me, it's safe to assume it does NOT have anything to do with running. :rotfl: ;)

:thumbsup2

I love to bake, but cooking is too much of a chore for me to enjoy it. I like watching Paula Deen on the Food Network. She cracks me up, and I love how everything had butter and sugar. Good ol' Southern cookin.

I watched a few episodes of Iron Chef and was just mind boggled over how they can take the simplest ingredients like chocolate or something, and make the nastiest things out of it!! :sad2:
Beth, I like Paula Deen too. We watch Iron Chef sometimes, but that show is intense!! Anywhos, some of the stuff they have to cook with, is way too out there for me! :crazy2: Blah!

Jess, if it's not too late you can throw that in with your check you are sending me! :goodvibes I love Borders.

Can you have a 'fireworks hangover' when you were hiding from the all night? Wait, you can, but more because they gave you a panic attack. Fireworks freak me out (unless they are at Disneyland because Disney makes evrything OK) so I spent the night curled up under my blanket watching a movie on my iPod so I could neither hear or see them.
.
Aw! Hugs to you!

Morning! We had a great fireworks show over here last night. Many people within a block of us had huge exploding illegal fireworks, plus we could see the huge ones from the fairgrounds. My step-dad had a lot of beer last night which puts him in a good mood, good enough to offer to replace the built in benches in my backyard before my bday luau next weekend :cool1: He promised to come by on Friday and do that and some other yard improvements for my party.

So, a few pages back I posted my must-do's for our trip. What is everyone else's?

Jessica~ Count me in for photo pass for the Feb trip.
LOL! I hope he's not drinking while building your benches!
At the moment, I can't think of any must-do's yet. :rolleyes1

I :lovestruc Kenny!! I have not missed a concert in like 8 years or so.
This weekend is NKOTBSB! So excited for that one too!

Kinder Fest, is fun! down the big hill they have a huge slip in slide, lots of free stuff for the kids, face painting, sno cones, small woods petting zoo, clowns, bounce house, arts & crafts, lots of fun stuff! They have it every 4th of July.
What a fun festival! :dance3:

I will be doing the Scavenger Hunt....not sure what kind of pace I want for that though. Maybe a fast walking?
Daisy
I will put you down as a Marathoner!

:cool1::cool1:Woo Whoo! Woo Whoo! :cool1::cool1:

Jodi, I do have you down as a Marathoner with Lisa. :woohoo:

Hello :) This trip sounds like such fun....and the perfect solution to my Disney Blues I seem to get every time I come back from WDW! I have not been to DL in 20 years. It is the first out--of-country trip my husband (then boyfriend) took me on when we where dating! It was amazing....we had a blast. I love WDW, but would love to go back to DL and see all the changes and what's new! I am thinking of going Jan/Feb 2013 with my Best gal pal...Do you do these girl trips every year??? This sounds like such a fun way to explore DL and make some great friends in the meantime! Perfect too, as my hubby is not as much a Disney lover as I am and this would give me others to share my passion with! I am throwing thoughts around in my head about my 2013 trip.....trying to decide between DL Girls Only or WDW.....DL might just be more suited to a best friend getaway....not too long (thinking 5 days) and closer to me (I live in Alberta)....maybe more budget-friendly than WDW, but not quite sure on that as WDW has some pretty good discounts in Jan/Feb! :) So Girls.....will you have another trip Winter 2013?
I am very interested in this type of trip!
PS...Is Disneyland Hotel a good resort choice??? I am used to and love WDW Deluxe resorts....Club Level gal here, have stayed at AKL Club Level twice and LOVED it, Beach Club Club Level once, and found it fine for our needs, but not a resort I will try again....I am leaning towards AKL or Poly for future trips, if that helps you understand what I like :) Disneyland hotel looks like such fun, especially the new pool!
Thanks for taking time to read and help me with my questions
Hopefully I will have a chance to meet you all one day! :goodvibes
Marie
Hi Marie!

Welcome! :welcome:

We will definitely be doing a trip in 2013, but why wait? You still have lots of time to join us next year. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hi everyone!

I am SO far behind in this thread (and everything really with traveling so much) but thankfully Beth keeps me updated on FB. Thanks Beth! You are my hero!

Count me in for the Princess breakfast.

I'll PM Melody my scavenger hunt style.

Is that all I need to do for now?

Aw! Hugs to you!

I like hugs!

Jess, if it's not too late you can throw that in with your check you are sending me! :goodvibes I love Borders.

:thumbsup2 You got it! I've gt a Post Office stop to make tomorrow on my way home from work. Yipee!

:cool1::cool1:Woo Whoo! Woo Whoo! :cool1::cool1:

I feel like a true Dis Diva now...I have a cool signature block. Mucho kudos to Jess. I love it and the instructions you gave were perfect. It worked first try out. Thanks, thanks and more thanks!

You're one of the cool kids now! Glad it was easy to follow.

Hey now!

Hi Trudi!
You and Sarah should join those of us "slumming" it at the Hojo. :lmao:

I'll be "slumming" it for my birthday! But not in February. Can I officially say I'm staying at the Villas now? :rotfl: Diva trip is so more imprtant than a silly old birthday, gosh darnit.

::yes::

Are you interested in arranging it Jen? If not I can for sure. Lemme know.

Remember to sign up with Jess for photopass if you want, and with Mel if you want to be in the hunt and have a purple tee from last year. :)

Yup, yup! Don't forgot. Goes for anyone taking a Halloween trip or the Half/Tinkerbell Marathons as well.

BTDubs, I don't know if I mentioned it but I started a new PTR for my September trip. I know a few Divas will make appearances by the time the TR is all said and done ;)

Kelly, The AI concert sounds like fun! Blow a kiss to Scotty for me! :rotfl:

Beth, Thanks for keeping up with all of us!

Ok.....who is disgusted with the Casey Anthony outcome? :furious:
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! :sad2:
