Disney, like X-mas, is a state of mind as much as anything else.

We should endeavor to "keep Disney" the whole year through!

Ear pain is miserable! I hate the stuff, but try Afrin. It's like roto rooter for your sinuses. Also, if it's more allergy related sinus congestion, and if you are still bad a day or so before your trip call your doctor back and ask for a steroid. You probably won't notice the jittery side effects much since you'll be running around WDW (heck, the extra energy might be nice there), and it'd definitely drain everything.

Be careful or you might just get tagged by the Tag Fairy! Although, I haven't seen the TF in a long time!

Thinking about changing around our plans for Dec 8... thinking about cancelling our RFC ADR and moving it to like 12, so we could do DTD in the morning and then go to AK in the evening I really wanted to do a late day at AK plus then DD could maybe get a nap in the room before we head there... any opinions on this??? We will be staying at SSR that day??? AK closes at 7 that day.

Guess I should add RFC ADR was and would be at DTD.

Oh good!! Being a newbie I'm still learning my way around the boards!!!! I totally didn't see your earlier post!! I thought I had caught up on everything! See - I'm so stressed/nervous/excited that I missed it!! My bad!! Oh I'm so embarrassed!!!!!!!:

hahaha, don't be - think of it as initiation into our Dis street gang. We just "jumped you in"...

All this talk about illness yesterday...or more specifically how to avoid it. Around 10:30am yesterday one school calls...between the 4 kids, they attend 3 different schools. The first school says "DD is here in the nurses office and has vomitted; she doesn't look good...very pale." So, I say "Ok, I'll be right there." I arrive to find her writhing in pain, hands are cold and blue; she tells me later that she did vomit...all over the stairwell! I really thought we had a case of appendicitis or something just as serious on our hands. However, she came home and fell asleep and woke up starving! Not sure what she had but, it appears to have resolved. As I am tiptoeing around the house trying to clean and make plans but, resolve to sitting down and reading a book...I didn't want to wake her and needed to keep an eye on her; DBF calls...he got a call from DSS school...he is sick and needs to be picked but, he has a sore throat, headache and sensitivity to light. I tell him about DD and that I can't leave her so, he takes a half day from work and comes home with DSS. So, we sat in living room...in silence, with two sick kids and start thinking, "how long do the rest of us have, til we get sick...and we are 12 days til Disney!!!" I woke up this AM with a sore throat and headache...11 days to go...

This would be the perfect time for you to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes, make sure everyone's washing hands and this is cliche (which cliche's are cliche's cuz they're true) lots of water for everyone. Keep everyone hydrated!

Ok, so I"m pretty much packed and I've already printed out our boarding passes. Now I'm wondering if packing my can of mousse is ok. The can says "contents under pressure". Yet I need it for my hair. Anyone know if it's ok to pack that?

My almost 21year old son will have finals until the 14th and we get home on the 17th. I'd actually feel better if he were home. My dd is almost 22 and she's in an apartment. She'll take our dog to her place. Gee....now I'm worried about my house!

DH says I'm stressing over nothing!! They are both very good guys and I know they won't do anything they're not supposed to! I'm one of those type A Personalities and I'm worried about them keeping the house somewhat clean and washing their clothes and using the dishwasher - also keeping the cat pan scooped and making sure they have food and water, AND not letting the bird starve!!! I know - I've just got to let it go! LOL!

It can't go in carry-on, but I have packed things that were under pressure in my checked luggage before and they've been fine. I am again this time! Just put it in a ziploc baggie on it's own just in case something does happen, it won't ruin everything around it!

I'm loving seeing the pictures of everyone! I'm not tech savy enough to do that!! It's getting down to the wire and I'm getting all the last minute stuff together. I know my poor sons are tired of me reminding them of stuff to do!! DH had to remind me to go get him some Dramamine. We're going to Universal one day (or two) and I'm a roller coaster junkie! There's nothing I won't ride or do! Sky diving is on my bucket list!! Anyway, I have to take it easy on DH! He tends to get motion sick!

We will be at AKL the 8th & 9th then check into Pop on the 10th. We are going to MVMCP on Dec 11th which is our anniversary!

We have never been at Christmas before so we are super excited!
