I will....

Btw.. i don't know if anyone noticed.. but we're gettin close to closing this thread... which we probably would have done ages ago if all of you people hadn't gone on so many vacations!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

If nobody else is around when it's due... I'll start it...

Thanks Shell for taking care of it. I don't know how to do it either. So we're counting on you to keep it going.

Oh, forgot to share something wonderful! Getting closer to having INSURANCE through work! They checked the quote again and found the price has dropped since last checking. Next step is to decide how much they can contribute towards the cost, but even if I had to pay for the whole cost on my own, the price is much lower than anything I found on my own AND with a much lower deductible! The deductible I had with the old firm was $2500, so I was never able to afford to actually use the insurance. Now with this option they're considering, I will actually be able to afford to USE it! Depending on how much coverage there is, I might be able to get my knee fixed up, my wrist, and of course my regular checkups that are long overdue. I'm so excited! And relieved.....because now I won't need to work a second job to come up with funds to pay for insurance! Woohoo!!!

YAY!!! This is the best news of the New Year.....not needing to work a second job and having medical insurance is a really BIG thing. I'm so happy for you that it all worked out. YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!!

I have not gotten my flu shot yet either and I really need to get it done. But I have been having a little tummy bug that just won't quit, so I don't think I can get the shot until I'm healthy without anything going on.

I wanted to go yesterday despite the tummy bug, but John said there's nothing but ice trying to get to the car. I'm not going to take the risk of falling so I have to wait until it thaws out a little outside. I'm hoping to go and get it next weekend. The good thing is that I don't go out and come in contact with people and germs, so I should be good.....but I'm autoimmune and catch everything that John carries into the house from his job. So I have to be really careful. No sneezing allowed near me!!!

The last thing I need is to get this flu going around right now. :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

Shell, congratulations on our newest little Champagne Girl. She is so adorable. I love the way she is alert and awake and not sleeping like most newborn babies. It looks like she doesn't want to miss a thing now that she's out in the world....so cute!

Hopefully your sister won't do anything to stop you from seeing your great niece. We know how cray cray Claire is lately. She wouldn't do that would she?

Friendly neighbors work and great Christmas presents works even better. Two hours is better than no hours. It's not a life, but it's something. Did his parents leave and return home? I guess they had the family reunion without Loie. Well at least that's over. I'm glad you're on neighborly terms again. That's a good thing.

They left in October on horrible terms because of all the fighting. Told them to never come back. Now he's restored the relationship a bit with mom and told her she can visit but that his dad isn't welcome. Yes they did have their family reunion in FL and made him go, end of August, early Sept., he called me twice while on the trip and he was so sick, throwing up the whole drive from pain. Told me it was such an awful trip, he doesn't want to talk about it or even remember it.

But yes, we'll be neighborly. That's all I'm willing to offer. We'll go over tonight after Tyler gets home and opens his gifts so he can thank him, and Tyler has a gift for him he bought months ago.

Tyler is going to go nutso. It sounds like a really cool place that you definitely want to take him to.

I'm thinking of taking him tonight when I pick him up (after a quick dinner) to celebrate the news reporter coming to school tomorrow to interview him. He'll be on our local news tomorrow or Tuesday. ;)

Don't celebrate yet, they're not too quick about getting things done, so it might be months. I need to be bold and start nagging.

We definitely don't want you getting sick! :grouphug:

She's so adorable! I just love the way she's looking at momma in the picture! :)

How to get motivated? Been trying for a week to get the Christmas stuff put away. But most of the time I can't make myself stop eating and get off the couch. I've gained back 25 pounds of what I lost, which certainly doesn't help my mood. So.....one day at a time, just keep trying it all again. At least I started cleaning Tyler's room yesterday. HAVE to finish before I pick him up tonight because I promised him. That's one of his Christmas presents- a free room cleaning. ;)

That's very wise of you to keep your emotions in check. He can't offer you a better life than you already have so there's no use in that going any further. He's a great neighbor to have. Keeping it right there is very wise. Good for you!!!

So sorry that his parents forced him to go to the reunion. They should feel guilty for all the pain they caused him. I'm glad he has at least made up with his mom. Sorry for his dad. Maybe one day they will work it out.

Tyler is such a great kid. That was so sweet of him to get Loie a gift. He's very kind and caring.....love that kid!!!

OMG that would be perfect. He DEFINITELY deserves a reward for doing such a great job with his teacher. Again, Tyler is kind and caring and giving too!!! What a dude!!!

I will need to ask him for his autograph next time I see him, since he's the only one I know that's going to be on television. He's a star, as Marilyn would say!

LOL! He doesn't know about it yet, so I'll be telling him tonight. The school district communications person who did the story about him for the school website also sent out press releases and our local news station contacted him last week to ask if they can come to school tomorrow to interview him for the evening news, so the guy from school called me Wednesday to get my permission. I hope I'll be able to find it online so I can share with everybody who doesn't live here to see our local news. ;)

I lost 12 pounds in November and I'm sure that I have gained it all back and then some after the holidays. The worst part is not having the right foods in the house. We have been holiday cooking and having leftovers. That's not good for the waistline. But it's now a new year with lots of new things and activities to look forward too.....so hopefully I can get back on track again.

I was doing a mile a day on my exercise bike and have not done it at all lately. I don't want to push myself while I'm recovering from December vaca to Florida and now with this tummy bug. I have to be healthy to start doing any exercising or I will only get sicker. I know this from experience.

Of course, that's no excuse for not eating properly. Gotta get the right groceries in the house again. One day at a time.

OH I HOPE SO....I would LOVE to see it!!! You should call that guy back and ask him if it will be in available online. Hopefully!!! Crossing everything!!!

I don't know if he'll know because he's with the school, not the news, but he will be calling me to let me know when the news crew is on their way so I can let Tyler's teacher know, so I can ask him then who I should contact to find out. :)

That will work. OR when you talk to the teacher to alert her, you can ask her to ask the news crews while they are there. Maybe they will know. Or you can do both just to cover all bases. Good Luck! I hope we can all see it!!!

Managed a tiny bit of progress. Didn't finish Tyler's room, but it's about 75% done. A noticeable enough difference that he'll be happy. Only brought down about half the Christmas boxes from the attic and packed up all those boxes. When I take them back up tonight I'll bring the rest of the boxes down and tackle the tree later. Or tomorrow. Washed and hung one load of laundry. Didn't touch the outdoor decorations yet, but maybe tomorrow. At least I started! I'm just so tired all the time so it's hard to do it all. Now to hit the grocery store on my way to pick up Tyler. Can't wait for him to see his new Mickey bedding given to us by a friend! And he gets to see Loie's presents (box of Dove chocolates and $25). And my boss' wife gave me 2 brand new sweatshirts for him that her son never wore. AND I get to tell him about the news crew coming to school tomorrow! Lots of surprises for him!!!
