And

Finally....

And yes- it would be worth staying onsite IMO with the extra running K! Save the legs! Spare yourself the crowds going through DTD.

Wish I had done what you did. I tried to get back into D because I didn't realize how bad it was. And ended up in E! Still not happy about that. I thought they had finally gotten this sorted out last year when things look neat and organized last year after 2011 but nope!

Registration confirmation from Get Travel came in last night so I'm officially in. That's a bit of a load off my back.

On a completely different side note my bariatric surgery has been thrown into chaos after the insurance appointment went well odd. To say the least we aren't sure if we trust the surgeon or office any more so we're looking into new offices. I think I may have fallen in love with UCI's office though but I have to meet their people first. But hopefully as long as he doesn't seem to find my two pain med allergies a problem and he has a better manner than my last doctor than we'll have a new doctor soon. And hopefully they will take my old test results. So I won't have to got through six months of testing again (hard to believe I originally thought I was going to have this surgery before the DDD, and then for a while I thought it was going to be right after the DDD).

I hope it all works out and you find a Dr. you trust!

So GET travel does still have PP rooms left. Anyone book through them before? Are they reliable? Not gonna loose my reservation?

I booked with them last year and also bought tickets and bibs through them this year. They are great to work with- totally reliable and on the up and up! Bill is the person I spoke to a few times and he was always quick to respond by email or phone call. :thumbsup2

I'm currently staying at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in a 2 bedroom suite. We stayed there for the DL 1/2 last year and really liked the set up. Now I'm started to question if I want to be on site....my parents will be doing tink with me, there first half!

Never have done Tinkbell 1/2 before. Does the race start closer to either paradise pier or DL hotel? Finish? I'm trying to decide between those two. Any opinions?

Thank you!!

The start is at the underpass like the DL 1/2 except we go the opposite way; towards Ball instead of Katella. B/c of that, the corrals back up towards Paradise Pier and that is where the finish line/staging area are ~ in the parking lot to the side of and behind PP.

I was in corral C last year and I remember lining up right outside the PP. I remember watching people come down the clear elevator and thinking how lucky they were to just come down the elevator and be at the start!

Did you guys hear about United Airlines' snafu yesterday? LOL...my BF just happened to be on trying to book his flight to Anaheim (he was going to use miles) and decided to check the fare first...came up as $5!!! hahahaha...I said "hey, what's the worst that could happen? You buy it, get an email in a week saying nice try, get your $5 back and then have to book using your miles anyway...try it!" so he bought it...as far as we can tell United hasn't made an official statement saying for sure whether or not it will be honored, but I'm wondering about the reports that said people found out about the fares yesterday and booked last minute trips to places leaving TODAY and even printed their boarding pass...wonder if they are being denied boarding this AM? There was a flight today to Orlando for $8...I was THIS CLOSE to a weekend getaway with Mickey y'all! Later, we wondered why we didn't get on and just book some weekend stuff to places we've never been just in case...:headache: People were tweeting United saying "Hey thanks, my entire office is now going to Maui for the weekend for $10 each!" LOL! Oh well, will be pretty cool if he actually gets to fly for $5! He's so lucky...stuff like that happens to him all the time! (He just can't seem to hit the lotto though ;)) I had already booked my Tink HM using miles...I took advantage and bought my ticket for PHM though...it wasn't $5 but it did come up cheaper than I've been seeing it lately so I went for it...but definitely not a "way too good to be true" fare, so I think I'll be ok.

LOL! No I didn't hear any of that last night! Thursdays are our soccer nights so no time for news or anything. But that is hillarious! You'll have to keep us posted as to what they do!

Oh wow wish I had seen that! Even if my Dad probably wouldn't have booked it because he would probably smelled something off (he's the one in charge of booking everything). But than again we almost never fly United (and I am just starting to use Twitter, and using Twitter was not on top priority last night) so it would have been weird for us to find out about it.

Piece of advice while I'm thinking about it. If any of you are doing a massage at the Mandara Spa after the race try to get the masseuse Patricia. I managed to snag the first slot she had on race day (2 pm). She is fantastic. Best massage I have ever had. I actually felt almost normal after the massage for a little while. Hell the only part of my legs that hurt after the race the next day were my lower legs and I think it was partly because she did such a good job with my thighs. But that also might have been the cream she was using. Point is if you can get her, take her. I booked her at first chance after the Disneyland half to make sure I had her for Tinkerbell. And she is working all the way until 8 pm so there should be hopefully some time slots still available.

Damn I just spent $1000 on tickets today. Wish I had been looking yesterday !!!! Lol

It was total luck for us! While I later found out that the word spread on all things social media like wildfire, it was just dumb-luck that my BF was on when he was trying to book his flight. Too bad mine was already booked! I did manage to get my MCO flight for PHM for $225. It had been sitting at $399 for months, dropped to $225 during the fiasco, and then went back up to $399 when their site came back up. So, I feel like I still got a good deal...I just can't shake the feeling that I could have been on a flight to Vegas for a weekend getaway tonight after work for $5...why didn't I think of that??? I watched United's twitter last night to see what people were saying, looking for an official statement from the company and it was pretty entertaining...one said "Hey United, thanks for the $10 trip to Maui. Who do I send my condolences to?" LOL! $10 to Maui....I could CRY.

I also wish I had been on line...Maui, Kauai, Caribbean....oh well ! I think your BF should pay for the rest of the trip since he saved soooo much on airfare....at the very least, take care of all of your adult beverages !:rotfl2:
