I would love to meet the other families in the second FE group if that's possible. We are scheduled to board early (11:30ish). Since I'm new to this whole thing, I wasn't sure if that was doable.

FYI- you are most likely referring to your port arrival time being 11:30. When you check in they will assign a boarding group number. Concierge is always group one, then others follow. They start boarding around noon. Hth- didn't want you planning to be on the ship at 11:30--

We are so excited to be going on this, our first cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Just got indoctrinated to door decorations and fish extenders, and we want in!

Its my first one too! fish extender is totally new to me also! its a gift exchange you hang somethung from your door number (which is a fish) and people place gifts throughout the duration of the cruise. Since its my first cruise with disney I just decided to go for it!

@sandraprisco - the Fish Exchange is sort of like a secret-santa/party favor/housewarming-gift type of gift exchange. It's super fun because you return back to your room from the pool or dinner or wherever, and the kids (and adults alike) are all excited to see if there's a surprise in their Fish Extender!!

We'd love for you to join in - we're the "no rules/no plan/last minute" group. LOL. You can make little things (crafters love this), purchase small gifts (think dollar store or similar)...sometimes people give snacks like candy for the movie theater, or a little something that represents their city/state/region. The gift can be for the whole cabin, for each person, any way you'd like to do it.

It's all for fun and no stress allowed! If you'd like to join, let us know ASAP because we're finalizing the list tomorrow night!

Just wanted to add that my dd3 loves princesses and all things girly, and that my ds7 loves disney and is into typical boy things, cars, lego, pirates, etc.

We don't have any food allergies.

Just a reminder that only pre-packaged food is allowed to be brought on board, so homemade goodies could get confiscated. (and many people will not keep foods that are not sealed or that are homemade just for safety)

They told me I must have 12 to get it confirmed prior to the sailing, we have 11 as of right now. She didn't tell me it was already taken so I would fully assume its still open. I know someone that had 9, walked on the ship to Palo and got it confirmed then.

Attn ALL IN 2ND FE GROUP: I didnt even thunk about thus until a previous post yesterday, but is anyone opposed to re-packaged candy? There is a local factory that doesnt sell in small individual packages. They sell bigger lb bags, so I repackaged them into smaller treat bags... some may be opposed to this. Please share your thoughts!! I dont want anyone to be offended. I could attatch little copies of the ingredients and origional label to each bag if youd like?

You are so considerate! My kids really don't get the "receiving" end of this. We've been just having fun working on the giving end! DD loves animals.

Hi All!

I have been on a Disney ship the last two Januarys and hadn't booked for this year...but, today when I logged in there was a fantastic price on this booking. Sooooo, I turned to my husband and said, "pretty please can we go? The kids would only miss 4 days of school and we need a vacation!" I am 95% going to be on board , but I have to wait until Monday to book (military family...have to check with work).

Anyway, I just finished reading all 16 pages of this thread and realized that I'm about 3-4 hrs too late for the last minute FE group!

In any case, if we go, we (me, hubs, DD and DS) will have a decorated door (4th DCL cruise) and our FE out...my kids like to hand stuff out, so if we book you'll get surprises from us even though we are too late to be officially included. If you have extras, our kids are Meghan (DD11) and Landon (DS9). If not, it's really no big deal (especially since I haven't confirmed the booking yet!!!). We'll just be happy to share some magic ON the Magic!!!

We'd still like to meet up and I think there are a lot of boys around 8-10 years old on this sailing, so it would be great for my son to make some friends to hang out with. I'll be checking back in and will let you all know if we manage to get booked (should know by noon Monday)! Thanks and I hope everyone is enjoying this last week before sailing!
