We have a standard view an just saw a full fireworks show from our balcony Regarding the lounge drink debacle.. We left at 820 and the drink cart was not out (desserts were). We came back right at 10 and we were unable to get a drink to take back to the room they said they closed at 10 and started pulling the cart away.

Did they change the hours of their services? We 'be always know Twilight Treasures to be 8-10. The cart should've been out @ 8 when you checked.

A crazy day of changes in our Vacation! And of course just to keep it interesting - a day after our trip was paid in full! lol. Lots of shuffling things around & our 3 resort split now a 2 resort split.

Dee, please change my dates on the Be Our Guest list. We are still YC, but are now August 21 to 25 (then on to the Poly for 4 more nights)

Today we went to blizzard beach and epcot at night... Saw firsthand a few differences btwn YC and bc..

Bus came for blizzard beach (and ak) an after picking us up it went to bc.. Unfortunately several people from the bc were denied bc the bus was already full. I would have been a little annoyed bc we found those busses only run about every 20 min. I was wondering if they ended up walking to the YC for the next pickup as I'm sure it could have filled up again.

Coming back from blizzard beach we hopped on the swan bus and walked to YC from there which worked out fine.

Epcot was great, my son loved agent p, innovations, especially sum of all thrills. We had front row seats to illuminations due to our hacienda dr San angel reservations. Walked back after park close thru bc and the lobby was hopping! Long line for beaches and cream and then we walked to YC and the lobby is so much quieter (we don't mind either, just two totally different sceneries). Nightcap wine at the lounge and came back to see wishes and heat lightening from the balcony!

Just returned from the BC. The one thing I wasn't prepared for was the small size of the food end of the marketplace, which is always crazy busy each morning. Most people are so caught up in their own world that they walk in front of you, push and bump into you, all trying to get on with their day.

Use the solarium, most people do not. It's a wonderful place to eat your meal you just bought from the marketplace.

SUMMER VACATION!
Now I can finally get back to posting semi-regularly.

Ps I noticed that the in room wireless I extremely slow... Stick to the public space guest access.

I wonder what happened. When they first started piloting this, I admit it was very, very slow. But on our most recent two trips, we found the in room Wi-Fi to be more than adequate.

Again I don't want to sound like a booze bag or anything, but for the money we are paying, I do not want to have to ask for an alcoholic beverage, nor do I want to not even have the option because the cart isn't there, or there's no one to run the cart, etc. is it time to start writing letters to Ms. Flynn? To be honest, I looked into changing our club level stay to BC, but alas there is no availability. And in poking around on other threads on this board, YC seems to be the only resort doing this.

I hope no one stones me for saying this, but to be honest, I've never been a fan of the BC marketplace. I find it incredibly overcrowded at all times. If I want quick food, I tend to go over to the Boardwalk Bakery and for my shopping needs I greatly prefer Fittings and Farings, the gift shop at the Yacht Club.

I LOVED the solarium on our last trip. So, peaceful and beautiful in there. I barely noticed the marketplace last trip because we stayed CL. So, we always had breakfast in the lounge and most other meals were in the parks. This trip we have free dining so I've been wondering what it will be like. I'm thinking about bringing some breakfast items to keep in our room.

Quick question--- my fam and I are staying at the yacht club in August. My sister doesn't know it but her boyfriend is going to propose to her on vacation. He wants to do it the first night we are there but we aren't planning on going to a park that day. His idea was to get a photo pass photographer to capture the engagement when she thinks they are just getting their pic taken. I've read there is a photographer at the beach club. We are already going to purchase the memory maker. How does this work? Does it cost extra money? Does he set it up now? Any info would be great or a number to call.

Afterwards he wants to have a surprise dinner with both families at either Il Mulino or Captains grille. Any recommendations?

We are back from a wonderful Disney vacation! We spent 3 nights at Art of Animation, then moved on up to the Beach Club for 4 nights. While the AoA was very nice and roomy, I couldn't wait to get to the BC. I guess I am a bit of a deluxe snob, eh?

Anyway, I am going over to Photobucket today to add my pictures of the resort and will post them here later!

I am completely with you on this. A few pages back Erica posted her review which lists desserts and cordials 8-10. I would expect them to be offered then. We planned our dinner times around the appetizer/beer one, so we could stop before heading to our ADR. I would be so upset if they aren't available as advertised. You pay a lot of money for those amenities and they should be there as expected. I don't use IPO for any of my things, so my paying club level is purely for the convenience of snacks, drinks, etc for our trip. At this rate we'd be better off swapping to non club and putting in a very large order from garden grocer! I'm not a booze hound by any means, if I have a beer at the pool and a beer at dinner that's my max, but I don't like feeling like I'm being babysat with my drinks.

We have an ADR for la hacienda de san angel at 8pm with the hopes of a great view of illuminations! So glad you had success! What time was your ressie and did you request window seats? Or do window seats not even matter?
