A year or two ago, a batch of pins was released with a heading something along the lines of we "want you to come back", but many people who had never been also got it. Thus, more proof that the offers are random. We have always been booked when we get a code. Sometimes they for our booked timeframe, and sometimes earlier.

I actually haven't booked officially. I just keep making trips for fall but I have put off pushing the final button until I see fall promos. I'm debating between Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break 2016 so I'll need a better deal for fall since there is less time to save money!

How completely random!

I was told that pin codes are only for those who have traveled there before, but yet no one has figured out who or how they target those repeat customers to send pin codes.

We are booked already because we have saved and know we will go regardless of a free dining promo, but it pains me a bit to pay full price. Realistically I know something will come out (even if its just a room discount).

I am just surprised that I am not getting spammed by Disney more after being a first timer signing up for all these websites. Maybe they know they already got me because I have booked.

My parents came with us on our first trip to Disney 4 years ago. They get PIN codes ALL the time and we haven't received one at all. It drives me insane because I swear they get them 3 times a year and we have yet to see one single PIN!?!?!

Yeah, we've been so many times, too. I think I've received ONE pin, back in 2007(ish)! We couldn't book that offer... Now I haven't been since Dec 2010 so you think I would have gotten something. But no such luck. Maybe I should go find a new 4 leaf clover?

Can anyone remember what resorts were blacked out last year- besides POFQ

We plan on booking three "seperate" but traveling together reservations for fall, hoping for FD. Couple of questions... We are looking at arriving 10/27 - if they keep the pattern of blocking thru the Saturday before Halloween we'll be ok but now I'm nervous that they'll block that whole week. Likely? Impossible to tell? Secondly, I plan on making one reservation now so I can make our 180+10 ADRs. If/when FD is released am I better making three new reservations and canceling the first or modifying it and making the others like normal.

My apologies! Yes it still says disney by joe. I'm getting ahead of myself here. It will be rebranded to Orlando by Joe. For a few hours his Facebook page would come up as "page not found" and I was so panicked the amazing joe black had vanished! But I was able to find the page again searching joe black on Facebook. Oye, the wait of free dining is getting to me!

My mom and adopted mom joined us last year for Disney and they've both received two pin codes since and we've gone so many times with our girls and never received a pin code :-( Luck of the draw - I might need a four leaf clover too!!! ;-)

I always get pin codes for any time that I don't go. We always go in Sept. I get pin codes for January. Got one for spring. Got one for summer. If the pattern stays true I won't get one for fall.
