Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Air Canada Vacations website appears to have their free dining up as an option for the dis hotels they offer in their packages (they don't offer all of the hotels).

Out of the ones I clicked on for some November dates - These had FD: POP, All Star Sports, Music, CBR, CS, AOA (no LM listed), AKL, BWI, Poly, GF. These did not: All Star Movies, POR/POFQ. No other dis hotels are offered by Air Canada.

I tried that, and it came up with a price that said "free dining". I couldn't proceed any further, BUT the price quoted was rack rate plus the exact cost of QS dining. I clicked details and this came up:

For a limited time, Guests who purchase a minimum five (5), maximum fourteen (14) night stay in combination with a minimum 2-Day Magic Your Way Ticket will receive the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan FREE. Guests may also upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan or Deluxe Dining Plan at a discounted rate.

  • Valid for bookings made between May 7, 2014 through September 22, 2014
  • Valid for arrivals from August 17, 2014 through October 3, 2014, October 26, 2014, through November 1, 2014, November 9, 2014 through November 20, 2014 and December 12, 2014 through December 23, 2014

Are you able to book more than one reservation on a Disney Visa dining offer? If we were to have another family coming with us, could we do both reservations with our DV or would they have to wait for the GP offer?
Yes, I added FD yo mine, my parents, and my sisters reservations when it came out last year, and had to add a $200 deposit to each one with my DV. They just paid me back.

I already have a reservation, and will need to add FD to it. I used my DV to put the deposit down. Will they already know it was a DV, or will I have to put another $200 down?

Did it have restrictions on hotel?

Hmm... They left all 2014 as the year.

Anyone know how many rooms I can book with my disney Visa card (I have seen 3 rooms max for BB and other promotions) ? My sister needs 2 rooms and so does my family. Also can I book at 2 separate resorts or would all 4 rooms need to be at the same resort? do you think if I made 2 different calls it might be attainable?

I sure wish I had this mysterious 'modify' button everyone keeps mentioning. I'm not with a TA, I've not paid my balance off. I can 'cancel' (heaven forbid) but there's no modify in sight  I love the anticipation, but I'm ready for this time tomorrow to be here and to know what my reservation looks like at that point. All this "do I need park hoppers, do I need to add a night - we are 5 nights, not 6 - then is it still worth it..." phew. I'm exhausted just thinking about it! :crazy2: Fun exhausted, but exhausted  For those of you who have the modify button... can you add days on your ticket package (which I already want to do), and park hoppers from there??

I believe its 3 rooms max for Visa as well.

Did it have restrictions on hotel?

I don't know. I just looked up Pop, since my DD wants to stay there (even thought we've always stayed deluxe or off site in a condo).

Weird thing is price quoted was $1,200, which was rack rate plus the cost of QS dining. I have no idea if that included the 2 day ticket, since it wouldn't let me go further.

From what I understand, I couldn't book this deal until May 7, but it does fall under the week that we want to potentially go!

Viajero magico on Twitter keeps reminding people they can book the offer starting tomorrow. I think the SA dates and offer is exactly the same for US. 3 night minimum stay, 2 day park ticket plus park hopper or water park option. That Air Canada offer has last year's dates so maybe they haven't updated their offer yet.

Did anybody else see the ad for free dining on here?>I signed in and in the upper right hand corner it was a yellow background with mickey and just simply said disney free dining. Before i could really examine it it was gone lol

YES! But I didn't see what it said either because it flashed so quickly but I know that it definitely said "FREE DINING". Dang it, wonder what the other details were....

Maybe the button isn't there, because you are paid up???

As long as you have two or less adults on a reservation you can have two rooms per reservation. VISA offer limits are three reservations. Sounds like you would be making two reservations which works great!

Canadian offers usually have different dates of travel.

You know, I would still be shocked if DV holders didn't get at least a 2 day nod & head start. I suppose there are some other benefits(?) to the card . . . I don't have this visa . . . but to open everything and everyone wide tomorrow morning would be a slap to DV holders and would also invite mass chaos onto an already limited online booking system that has struggled with technical glitches for years. Just my 2 cents.

That happened to me last night! It was the same banner that someone posted on here last night, it wouldn't let me click on it but I saw it! It's like Bigfoot! So elusive, just keeps all of us on the edge of our seats!

Mine appeared right below the "alerts" on the right hand side. It was small, approx. 2" by 2", not the long banner that was posted in the thread yesterday.

Think this has been answered before a few pgs back. I believe this is Dis Boards own updated article re free dining rumor for 2015.

I just called to ask why I don't have a modify button and they transferred me to an IT person who went through a list of possibilities as to why not. Turns out it's because we booked 2 rooms and you can't modify if you have more than 1. Might be helpful to call and have them check for you as well. They also mentioned factors could be related to having air or ground travel booked through them.

I already have a reservation, and will need to add FD to it. I used my DV to put the deposit down. Will they already know it was a DV, or will I have to put another $200 down?

I was told by a CM that if you use your DV for the deposit, they will know and you won't have to put another $200 down. However, if you book a DV promo initially with another card, you have to use your DV for another $200 when reserving the promo deal.
