"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

If he can handle the loud noise, anywhere from behind the carousel to Gaston ' s is great because fireworks explode all around you and it's usually not crowded. However, if noise is also an issue, from on top of the train station is pretty quiet in comparison. We use to have to avoid fireworks all together for ds. Now he lives them!
ALL of Fantasyland was very crowded Friday night (9/25). We could barely get through there to get to the Pooh characters. The whole area behind the castle had been empty in previous years, but nothing besides my candy bag was empty this year. :)

At this point, I have nothing to wear except SWW clothes, but I'm excited and gearing up for tonight's sold out party! ! Been to many sold out parties in past years. They are still fun, but requires a change in mindset. We are going to take our time and see what we get a chance to see.

It's suppose to be around 90 degrees so temps are up which usually means people's tempers are quick to flare. We are not going to be one of those type of party goers. We already know a sold out party and heat don't make for the best conditions, so we are going to make the best of it and have the best time ever. We're going on hunt of the little things. The things people usually pass up in a hurry or frenzy to get from one place to another. I'll try to report back as I find those little things.

I'm of the same mindset - finding the little and oft overlooked things. I'm not going until the end of October so I'm looking forward to reading your report!

:thanks:

You might be in minority (I'm there with you!) I overheard SO MANY people DETERMINED to get a refund Friday night. Disney cannot control the weather, people...!

Yep, me too, and the line for guest relations snaked all the way back to the middle of the hub when we left around 9.45pm. I'm sure people were asking for refunds and I bet Disney tries to offer tickets to another night first.

I doubt my mom will want to wait in long lines for characters but I should tell her that this is the only time to see the seven dwarves. She loves Dopey.

There is always a crowd in front of the Dwarf photo area taking pictures between meets. If she just wants to SEE them, you could do that...or just watch a parade. They're in those.

We are in our room resting up for tonights party. Worried about the weather. 90% chance of thunderstorms at 7...

Yet another sold out, rainy night tonight. It looks like its about to pour buckets over the MK. I'm following along on Twitter.

I'm attempting to follow along on twitter but it keeps pulling up the older dates. I did see one post where it looks like it's pouring right now. I'm so glad I decided to wait until October this year. Maybe it won't rain on me again - I had a pouring down rain MNSSHP last year and it wasn't that great.

I'm going to 2 dates this year - I decided to book a 2nd one for my arrival date. I figure I'll wear my quick and easy to put on Ghost Host outfit and plan that date to be the one where I watch the parade, fireworks on main street, hocus pocus show, see the Queen of Hearts and the Hag and also look for photopass magic shots, get my shopping done and TOT. I thought about saving the Hag and the cauldron magic shot for the 2nd night but I've learned from past parties to get things done when I see it and not wait just in case.

Then on my 2nd night, I'll be in my Evil Queen costume and meet the 7 Dwarves, Snow White and hopefully the Hag again plus see the parade again, the Hocus Pocus show maybe. I'd also like to get the cauldron Magic Shot again this night since it will fit nicely with my costume. I might Trick or Treat too while I'm walking around.

Hoping it works out for me and that I don't regret going for 2 nights. I may be skipping next year unless Maleficent is out doing meet and greets.
