Best burger in universal area

Haven't gotten one myself yet, but it looks like the Lard Lad's donut shack is right next to the giant Lard Lad statue. I can't wait until May...Reese's pieces, a donut, AND ice cream; yes, please!

Reese's are my favorite, anything with chocolate and peanut butter! You're getting close! May is just around the corner! We have to wait till October and December. Hope you have fun and take lots of pictures!

It's like finding a kindred spirit, I'm lucky to stay on topic 2 or 3 posts.

We're leaving May 28th-June 4th, staying at Royal Pacific; and while I'd love to try a Cheeseburger in Paradise (tradition of going to Margaritaville our first night) I know I won't be able to pass up the Volcano Nachos...now if they'd just serve a kids sized of those, they'd be perfect!

LOL, you've got me beat. And that's why I have never tried a burger there, I can not pass up the nachos! Speaking of which, have you seen the picture of them Schumigirl posted in the food thread, they are a thing of beauty.

We shared a cheeseburger in paradise after having the nacho appetiser at Margaritaville, worked well.

Ohhh, forgot about those Volcano Nachos. My mouth is watering and I still have to wait a couple of weeks.

I don't have major allergies, but even with my little issues, they couldn't have been more helpful and explained how my food wouldn't be prepared in areas near my allergy there.........chef made sure everything was in order and the lady who was taking care of us double checked everything.........

I have to admit I find Universal top notch with issues like that..........

i am starting to plan our September trip, our son's 18th birthday trip and he can eat his weight in burgers. Does anyone have any recommendations for a really good burger for him?
I already have Dick's Last resort planned because it just looked like so much fun in Gina's TR. Has anyone done Fudruckers lately? We ate there years ago and he liked it.

Fudruckers is nothing special but decent. Margaritta's is a safe bet, burger tastes better being chased down by a landshark.

DLR - haven't been to the Orlando venue. imo the chain is yet another tourist trap, with the twist of the servers attempting to be hip/rude/crude, reminds me of getting heckled by a stand-up comedian. If only the service and food were up to par. The same as I feel about Hard Rock & Rainforest Cafe sites we've visited many times (upon insistance of our family/friends) style over substance.

Style over substance is excellent description for those places you describe..........yep........

We do enjoy a burger from Jake's...........just in case anyone doesn't know if you order food from the poolside Bula Bar food comes from Jake's........so you know it's going to be fantastic!!
