Just caught up and really enjoyed the last few updates!

It's too bad that your Castaway Cay day wasn't a little warmer. I'm glad you still enjoyed your time there! You got some great pictures!

Yeah it's too bad the water was so cold. It was fine when you were on the family beach in the sun. The adult beach was just crazy windy!

I'm glad you posted the selfie of your run - it reminded me I need to pack headphones! I can see why you got distracted, those are some great pictures of CC!

Yeah, I totally remembered at the last minute to bring my wireless headphones because I prefer to work out with them, otherwise it's just another excuse not to work out! Haha, just like the beautiful scenery!

I love the Rainforest Room so much. What a great idea about the conditioner. I will definitely have to try that this time!

It was great! My hair felt so much softer after that. I like how I was able to take such good care of my skin and hair on vacation because usually it's in tatters when I get back.

The last dinner is such a bittersweet meal. Saying goodbye to the servers is SO HARD!

It is! They become family for the week so it's tough!

Castaway Cay looks really nice! I think you have convinced me to look into a Disney Cruise after reading this TR!

I'm all caught up, and I've started reading your WDW portion of your birthday trip. Bring on the food!

Yay I'm so glad you're back!

We had a fantastic time on our SWDAS cruise, and have been back almost a week and a half now. WHAT??!!! Pretty sad when you get post-cruise depression before you even leave - but we had mostly great weather and did a few new things, so it was an amazing time, and it actually didn't even feel all that short. It felt just perfect. I haven't checked with DH about whether he prefers main or late seating, but I could go with either one, I think. I like eating early and not going to sleep on a full stomach, but on the other hand, we actually caught a couple of the late-night adult shows in the clubs while giving our food some time to digest, which we usually miss because we don't generally stay awake that late. (early risers, we are, as Yoda might say) This has been a super trip report, and gave us some good tips to maximize our fun - I hope you continue to write trip reports for many years to come.

I was wondering how your cruise went! Will you be doing a trip report? Even a short one? I'd love to see some pictures! How were Remy and Palo? I'm sure they were amazing!!! Yum yum yum. I need to relive my trip through someone else's trip report since mine is coming to a close, LOL!

I'm also going to be checking out your blog for Hawaii tips, since that is our next big adventure next spring. I'm feeling so lost, since I know nothing, zero, zilch about Hawaii - so I'm just starting to begin my research.

I have not checked out Su-Lynn's Hawaii blog either. However, I would recommend to her and you Chef Mavro's in Honolulu. The food was amazingly awesome. I still get the email updates almost 3 years after our trip, just so I can dream and drool I don't think it's as well-known as some of the other places, but it felt very quiet, quaint, and romantic.

Chef Mavro is #1 on my list of to-try! Our tentative plan is to go back to Oahu for our anniversary in November. I think that would make a nice anniversary dinner! Also I would put Alan Wong's on the list for must-do fine dining on Oahu. There is also Vintage Cave which is a French Laundry style restaurant but Japanese influenced. I really want to go there but DH refuses to bring a jacket on a Hawaiian vacation so we can't go there or to La Mer unless I convince him so. It's ok because there are so many things to eat on Oahu that we never really miss it. Hehe.

The galactic fireworks and midnight buffet both looked amazing. Classic, classy Disney fun and food!

You looked really pretty in purple for your princess meetings. But I really LOVE your matching Darth dresses. The pictures with the Storm Troopers are great!

The shellfish/seafood table looks scrumptious and your dessert plate was truly a photographic work of art. The gelee sounds interesting "More champagne jello, please"

That's awesome that you got a picture of your sister and her matching friend. That is hilarious.

The Mickey Chairs in Animator's Palate are too cute. That dining venue looks like so much fun. The appetizer trio sounds good, your desserts sound good. I would have to go with the lobster, but I am used to Maine lobster and I am always disappointed with rock lobster.

Yes! Torrid is a great resource! I have a few dresses from them even though I am not (yet) plus sized, but I find their smallest size works for me well since I like their longer lengths. I just bought an Ariel dress which I plan to wear on another Disney vacation!

Day 8: Leaving the Fantasy Behind

The end of our cruise was here...

We woke up and found we had already docked at Port Canaveral.

Want to know how to avoid the post-cruise blues? Go to WDW after your cruise!! I know many people like to cruise after the parks but after doing WDW post cruise twice, I find I'm a big fan of that. I think it helps alleviate the sad feeling leaving such an awesome ship, plus now I've been recharged for the week ahead! I'm ready for you WDW!

We still had breakfast to attend this morning. It's nice that DCL gives you one last meal before you have to leave. Your breakfast is usually where you had dinner the night before so for us it was Enchanted Garden.

Oh yeah and it was my birthday too! Woohoo!

At Enchanted Garden, we had a nice breakfast menu to choose from.

Sadly it was CS's last day of the vacation! She would be spending the night with us at the Poly but had an early flight to catch back home.

I ordered the "Almost Home" - Corned beef hash skillet with eggs, fried onions, bacon and hash browns. It was really good! I think I got this last year too.

My sister got eggs with bacon and oatmeal on the side.

DH got a breakfast burrito, which was kinda bare looking IMO.

Sad little burrito.

We also got fruit, coffee and juice for the table. We had a great breakfast and said our last goodbyes to Nyoman, Joseph and Lee and thanked them again for a wonderful cruise.

We headed out and disembarked at around 8:40am. There are no pictures allowed in the customs area but imagine a big warehouse-like building. There you find your luggage and then get on line for immigration and customs. The line was considerably longer than last years, but maybe it's because we had second seating rather than main, so our breakfast time was later. We got out of the building at around 9:15am and our Happy Limo Car was stated to arrive at 9:30am so we made it just in time.

Our driver to WDW was much better than our driver to port, luckily, so no issues there! We made it to the Polynesian Village Resort where DH and I would be spending our next week.

That was a great adventure. I usually have a bit of a let down when someone finishes there TR. But just like your TR stated i don't have to because you already have your WDW TR going. Life is good. But seriously... another great job. I cant wait to read your wrap up of the cruise.
