We ate dinner at mama melrose 6 years ago on my last Disney trip before seeing the Osborne Christmas lights. We didn't have an ADR and walked up. I remember the food as good Italian but nothing more special than Maggianos/Macarroni Grill types of food. That said, if it weren't that we were doing a Hollywood and Vine lunch and Fantasmic package, we'd probably eat at it again.

The steak and mac and cheese is to die for! Also, their calamari appetizer is divine. The dessert lack a bit. But it is a nice place with a fun atmosphere. But as other posters have said, the food is good but no better than your regular chain such as Maggiano's.

Yeah, I can see how LTT would be appealing living in TX. LOL
The AYCTE doesn't appeal to me either...especially right after Thanksgiving. I'm really torn now because I've never had CHH and I know DH would like it, but LTT sounds so freaking good! Also, I'm already going to have QS credits left over. Does anyone know if I can convert those into a TS credit or a snack credit?? Hopefully we'll use most of them but I think I'll have one or two left over.

well it will be hard to get an ADR so I'd stick with columbia harbor house. it's got a similar vibe and some really good choices. I have never had it, only seen pics, but I am craving that broccoli chicken salad right now lol. They USED to have mac and cheese there and now just chicken nuggets or fish nuggets for the kids. Not sure kiddo will be that into it. Pecos bills has 20% off with kiddo's AP, and all you can eat guac and other interesting toppings/salsas, mini churros with chocolate sauce for dessert and two options kiddo will eat on kid's menu (corn dogs or mac and cheese). Now that I'm gone from Texas I will eat the tex mex at disney lol. the portions are so huge though, I literally would have a hard time eating half of the fajitas platter and that's pretty much what I'd want! even the burrito is huge but I guess I could eat it unwrapped and it is pretty much the same. Another on my radar is Pinocchio's, which has gotten some love lately... the tomato basil soup looks great and I am a big fan of creamy tomato soup.

the only thing is i am somewhat traumatized by CHH. that was the most hairy QS experience where by the time i sat down with food I was dripping sweat, breathing hard, my hair was in my face and I was completely relieved to not have spilled anything or lost my child or had him go spinning into anyone else carrying a tray. he is older now so QS will prob be a bit easier I'd guess.

I believe the QS credits can be turned into 3 snack credits. I don't think they can become a TS credit. HTH.

are you on the DDP? if so still one credit and you get the app. spread some pixie dust and give away your F! vouchers, it's still worth the package on DDP. probably even OOP I think it is some savings.

Not at that time. Our DxDP starts on 12/1 when we check into AKL. And we may end up doing that!

Did you see Josh's tweet about the menu at CHH? They have a shrimp mac & cheese on the menu now. I don't recall if there was a mac & cheese option for kids, but it looked like the shrimp was just on top of the dish so it would be easy to ask that it be left off.

I saw a post from someone who seems to be "in the know" over on wdwmagic that we should be seeing something by November 14. All the insiders over there are saying very soon and possibly even beginning soft openings of some sort within a week.
