I think it is excluded but you can of course arrive last day in September they are offering Free dining and stretch it into October a bit.

Have you asked your friend? Maybe discuss the differences in the two resorts with her. It's possible she may be willing to spend a little more to be in a more relaxed resort with a hot tub. Honestly, not having a hot tub is and has always been a deal breaker for me any time I stay at a hotel.

How much time do you think you'll be spending at the resort? Has your friend ever stayed on site before? Does your friend enjoy the Pop type theme or does your friend prefer fancier landscaping? We have always stayed at a value so I don't know what I'm missing, but we enjoy the values and don't spend much time at the resort or in the pools.

Good advice. I'll try and talk to her tomorrow and see what she thinks. I don't see us spending a ton of time in the hotel, but i just love the immersive theming of the Mods and the nicer beds and closer bus stops are definitely good perks. And maybe by tomorrow night i'll decide if i want to pay for the upgrade myself or not if she doesn't want to spend the extra money.

I'm not sure what happens if you're modifying, but if you're booking a new reservation, it should work the same way all special offers do. My advice is to go to the website tonight, click on special offers, choose one and see how that one works. FD should be the same.

Yes there was..we always used to go end of October and then then take it into November. That was great because you had the Halloween and then the Christmas decorations. Ever since they took away Free dining from that period we have greatly decreased the length of our stay and now go at a different time of year.

Off topic--any of my FD friends been able to snag "the kitchen sink" at Beaches and Cream without reservation?

We were able to make a lunch reservation the day of. IMO The Kitchen Sonk wasn't that impressive.

In October 2014 when we went the end of October was included. In years since it has been lesss days as it has become a popular month and filled up on its own without FD. Some pages back there was a post that had the mousesavers site with the historical FD dates if that helps

In 2015 my room was in the middle of a ton of football player rooms at ASSp.
I think many of them stay there vs mods.
BTW they were very well behaved!

So we typically go the last week of October or first week of November. This year our only option is The Saturday through Tuesday before thanksgiving. I know what the crowd calendars say but just wondering from anybody's first hand experience how bad will those days be crowd wise?

I think my biggest issue is deciding what's valuable. I don't know if I should stay at CBR and pay an upgrade and pay for a PH or just go earlier(my yougest DD turns 3 October 30th) and stay at either AK in a bunk bed room or somewhere else completely. It's just too many options and with finals my head hurts...lol

I don't even have finals and this is making my head hurt too.

Running numbers over and over. I've always wanted to stay at POR... but POP will be about $700 cheaper. What are your honest opinions is POR worth the extra money. We really aren't picky my kids ages 8 and 11 loved All Star Sports last visit. I just really wanted to try a moderate. So wishing there would be a surprise and the mods would still get the table service dining.
