I updated my refurb post with a shot of a fold-down bed folded down.
I think the original poster was referring to the QS meal deal offer for the summer, not the QS dining plan. With the QS meal deal, you just got one free QS meal a day, so it doesn't include the mug. This is separate from buying the QS dining plan, which DOES include the mug.Did I read correctly that with the QS dining plan you don't get refillable mugs? It's always been my understanding that QS came with resort mugs also. asking because we always get the regular Disney dining plan & are considering the QS plan this summer since we don't plan on eating table service meals. We are straight up water drinkers most of the time..but at Disney...we think the coke is magical!!! Lol!
Thanks!
I know that a lot of these things are small, but they really did equate to a subpar stay at POP. I have stayed at many Disney resorts and have never had the issues that I had a POP.
I wish they would have an option for the refillable mug where you opt not to take it home (same price) but you can scan your magic band and get one filled so long as you return the one you previously "rented" that way to/from room or buses you could get a fresh cup and not worry about hauling it around all day. I never bring mine home because my suitcase is already stuffed
Nice catch! It looks like a question about the "QS dining plan" came from a post about the "QS Meal Deal"I think the original poster was referring to the QS meal deal offer for the summer, not the QS dining plan. I like your idea, but think they could do what you said AND give still give a refillable mug. Since they are provided the cups for free, I believe, it wouldn't cost them any more. I'd even be willing to pay a few more dollars for your option, for said option. If I pay $18 I want the mug as a souvenir
Do they offer different mugs or different cover lids? If our group gets 2 or 3 something to differentiate then would be nice.
Also, can they ONLY be used at the POP, or can they be used at other resorts like AoA?
I will be there first week of August and booked a preferred room. Anyone have any guesses if the Murphy beds are big and strong enough for a grown adult? I'm just apprehensive about it and don't want to sleep 2 people in one real bed...I booked 2 real beds, I want 2 real beds.
Hope you're happy to hear that your information is incorrect. The QS meal plan DOES include refillable mugs!
From Disney's site:
Make the most of your Magic Your Way® Package Plus Quick-Service Dining with this handy guide that outlines the details of what’s included and how to use your dining plan.
Each Guest ages 3 and over will also receive:
• A refillable drink mug eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort hotel
There will be 2 "real" beds in the room. These are not little Murphy beds like the moderates have. The Inovabed is a standard platform bed with a 8" or 12" mattress. It just happens to fold up against the wall and converts to a table It will be equal in quality to the queen bed in the room and will easily hold 2 adults. My adult sons have both slept on the Inovabed in the AoA suites and said it was more comfortable than most hotel beds they had slept in. I found it way more comfortable than the queen bed in the suite. If you end up in a renovated room you have nothing to worry about -- there will be 2 real beds.
Looking for some opinions before I do my on-line check-in. I have a preferred room booked. Where are your favorite preferred rooms and why? I know it's either 50's, 60's or 70's, but just curious what people like best!
Oops! Yes.. completely misunderstood. Thanks!I think the original poster was referring to the QS meal deal offer for the summer, not the QS dining plan. Slightly off topic, but not terribly. Please remind me of what holds or charges are put on your card at check-in.
Do they hold anything up front for incidentals?
Charge your card for everything at check-out? I vaguely recall having to settle up mid way thru and then again at check-out? Thanks in advance.
...
Once you hit $1000 of room charges, your Credit Card on file will get charged. If you are ready to check out and have not hit the $1000 limit, then around 2-3AM on the morning you check out your credit card will be charged. So if you wanted to pay your balance by some other means than the Credit Card on file, then you will need to settle this up on the night BEFORE you check out.
Wow how do you charge 1200? I'm not sure I could do that. I'm somewhat of a penny pincher. I may splurge this time. My whole cost for my nine day stay was 1400.00Just an FYI, I believe the Value resorts have a $1500 limit (though they tend to charge your card sooner that that so you don't hit your limit while you're out in the parks). At least that was our experience the last 2 times we were at AoA (2015 & 2016). Our card wasn't charged until we were at about $1200.

I thought that too, and even one really nice piece of art will set you back that much. I can totally see how this can be done. We are doing two meals OOP of this time. One is Ohana's and one for the Boathouse. I've only ever done OOP the first time I was ever at Disneyworld so I can really say what I spent becuase that was over ten years ago.I kinda wondered the same thing at first but depending on the size of your family, if you choose to pay for food using a credit card, those costs alone would quickly add up!! Dining at Disney (or any theme park, event location) comes at a cost. We travel with the dining plan but we still see what it would have cost us for a character meal if we were paying OOP and one of those alone for a family of 4 can be well over $200!

Ouch, that would do it.Dining! I expect our dining to be around $3,000.00 for a family of four. Doing Quick dining and Table Service dining combinations over a period of 16 nights.
We usually get Free Dining but not this trip. Our cost is usually just the upgrade to include Table Service. This is our first trip as a family (aside from Disneyland) where we will be paying for dining.
