***Officially Official September 2017 Thread***

8 weeks sounds better than 55 days!!That's when we will be in the Orlando area!!

I started my online check in and it seems pretty easy. I was glad I was able to request a specific area of the resort I wanted to stay in and request a bottom floor room.

I got into it with boss yesterday. He belittled me in front of all my coworkers only because he knew I was right. I can't wait to retire next year so I can sit at home and drive my wife crazy planning vacations.

both my husband and daughter have motion sickness and they both do the orange side, since you don't see things moving you don't get sick. I think it is when you see the world spinning around in your side vision, you are in the dark and stare straight at the screen. It works for them.

I'm going have to disagree with this one. I can ride coasters all day long but the tea cups will kill me. I thought the same thing, if I don't see it spinning, I'll be fine. Wrong! I wanted to die when I got off this thing! It's not about seeing it spin, it's about you're inner ear. So, it's not so much about motion sickness as is it is what you can tolerate. If you can't do things that spin, do the green side or you'll regret it the rest of the day.

I agree with you I love top thrill roller coasters, but spinning and forget it. I've done both green and orange I don't like feeling the g force. On a side note we were at Cedar Point yesterday and waiting in line for the Maverick well DD11 said look at the wagon wheels they look like A hidden Mickey. I wish I had a picture, but left my phone with DB. I said you know you go to Disney allot when you start seeing hidden Mickey's away from Disney.

I was scared to death just watching that thing!! I love Cedar Point, but for us its the thrill of the kids having fun...I can't do most of the rides.

too funny....I can't do the tea cups or the merry-go-round.....makes me dizzy!

Houston we have a problem.
My son turned one right after Xmas last year so for his party we bought a 4 foot Mickey Mouse balloon. I blew it up with air this morning and he runs from it, I mean to the other side of the house runs from it. Why do I have this strange feeling the Mickey Breakfast is not going to go as well as I hoped. I should not be surprised since he was deathly scared of pumpkins last year for his 11 month old pictures. We took him to a fall festival and it did not matter the size he would freak out if you put him near a pumpkin. Santa's lap was a no go too.

Oh no, my sister was like that with characters, got freaked out at the breakfast but she was fine with meeting them in the park etc because we met Tigger together at our hotel grounds (Paris) and watching shows and parades. That's a hard one to judge, unless he doesn't like giant balloons?

Since our upcoming trip doesn't have park tickets (only MNSSHP), I feel both relieved and frustrated that I don't have plans lol
Like, spreadsheet plans.

We only have 2 ADRs and MNSSHP tickets ... kind of frustrating not able to plan much else.

It's kinda driving me nuts that we are doing mostly counter service for this trip. We have 1 ADR at Sci Fi Diner. My spreadsheet looks so empty.

Yeah, we are planning on getting some groceries and mainly eating in the room (we are driving down). It makes me sad :(

Same here. We are bringing lots of non-perishables..whatever will fit in our suitcases. Then having bread, milk, ham and cheese delivered to the room. It kinda stinks, but it was a surprise trip so the budget is a little tight. And we are still going a year earlier than expected, so I am so not complaining! lol! It's just using the spreadsheet from our last trip and having so many blank spaces...ugh!

Haha ditto! We are planning on making our own tuna fish salad and bring other sandwich fixing but use tortillas instead of bread (easier to eat while driving). We'll be visiting Aldi for our grocery trips :)
Yeah, we weren't planning on going until Feb. 2018 but my work has a surprise meeting/event in September, so we are going cheap! Plus, eating in room is better than not being at Disney, right?

We would like to take a family photo in front of each park icon again. Now that the big hat is gone from Hollywood Studios, what do you use as the icon??

i would say ToT or the Chinese Theatre, if you take it far enough back with the palm trees lining the street, it is a beautiful shot
