If you could go any week out of the whole year....

...which week would you go and why? I don't care about pulling kids out of school. They'll be 4/6 on our next trip in 2019.

Best for crowds? Temps?

After the stress of going during hurricane season this year and Irma hitting the week before we left, I can't take the stress again.

I'm thinking the week after thanksgiving?!

I was at wdw before and after irma. It was a great time to go. The very low crowds made up for the two days the parks were closed.

Mid February. Weather is amazing, I don't think crowds are too bad.

Living in Florida all my life some cool weather (50's/60's hopefully) is a huge plus while being at Disney. So that's usually only during Jan and Feb

I'd go at the end of January, beginning of February. Like the above poster, to me WDW is very cool weather-wise then, and I'd like that. Low crowds too, from what I hear. I've been in mid-January and that was nice, I wish I could have stayed longer but Uncle Sam called (I do taxes and that's my busy time).

I'm sure. But we were there right after so there were a few days where I didn't even know if we would be able to go. It was stressful. Then everyone pushed their trips back and it made for very crowded parks when we were there.

So any week other than presidents week.

Late April, because you still have F&G (a family favorite), the temps and crowds aren't crazy, but it's still warm enough to visit the water parks.

Week after Thanksgiving would be my second choice, though! :yay:

The first week of March is our favorite week to go. It's usually warm, but not hot, little rain, crowds are low, and you have the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. Just make sure you leave before the first full weekend in March, or you'll get hit with big spring break crowds.

I'm hesitant to do January or February bc we are in NY. Then I'd need to hope we don't have a blizzard or icing and we can't fly out.

We went the week after Thanksgiving last year and really enjoyed it. We're going again this holiday season, but a little over a week later, so that we can upgrade to annual passes that will still be good for another trip during the week after Thanksgiving next year. The weather is really beautiful in the winter, an I would guess that any time late Nov - early March would be fantastic, as long as you avoid holiday dates.

We have also been during local college spring break, which is usually the first full week of March. It's a bit more crowded then, and, at least during our trips, a bit warmer, but the longest wait we've ever experienced for a ride was 35 minutes for Frozen Ever After (in December, with FP+ - the ride went down during our FP window), and then Splash Mountain (first week of March) which was about 20 minutes standby, which I think is completely reasonable for such a long, enjoyable ride. That said, I'm also a hardcore planner who's also willing to stop and smell the roses and go with the flow, both of which help keep our wait times down.

I would love to go during the Food and Wine festival, but it conflicts with football season :confused3 I would never be able to get DH to go then. Maybe when DS is old enough to get ready for school and bed on his own?
My second choice is mid January, when the crowds get small and the rates drop, so we are doing that soon!

I normally go in the spring, preferably late March/early April. But that has more to do with getting out of the cold damp weather here in the Pacific Northwest than it has to do with crowds or weather there. I've been during Christmas once and it just felt wrong to go back in to the heat. This year I'm heading down in November, and I do love the fall decor.

Maybe the week after Thanksgiving? Cooler weather, manageable crowds, Christmas decor. But I'll go any chance I get. :earsboy:

Another vote for early May. Lower crowds than Sept at least IMO. We enjoyed the weather..it was slightly cooler (80s) and not as humid. Plus flower and garden is lovely.

I would target late April, early May-ish...after the spring break and Easter crowds have left and before the schools start letting out.

I agree with late April early May. Crowds were practically nonexistent. Weather is beautiful, not too hot yet. No hurricane season.

My favorite month is November though. I love the cooler weather, perfect for park touring IMO. Christmas decorations are up, it is so pretty.

This has nothing to do with crowds, but I would go the week starting Halloween day. That way, you get two holidays in one trip. Nobody does the holidays better than Disney.

Quite possibly my two favorite things at Disney are the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and the castle Christmas lights. Going on a week long trip starting Halloween gets you the first Christmas party as well.

I was there during Irma, I have to admit that it was nice the few days before becuase the parks were empty, but I've also been during July and way to hot and crowded, and also the second week in Dec and crowds were ok. I'm going back in April next year, and not again till Jan of 2020, I'm also trying to find a sweet spot, I enjoy the holidays' and actually did some of the food and wine this year, but lets see if its enough to keep me there during that time.

I'm so glad to hear so many people saying they'd like late April/early May. Next year we're thinking of going that week that straddles those two months and were wondering how it might be.
