January/February 2018 discounts, who else is in?

Was anyone able to get POFQ with a visa discount? I got a small discount online with the regular room only buy if I can save more I will sit on hold and hope to get a cm who knows what they are talking about.

Yes, I had to call. Which is unfortunate because I kept wanting him to try and run things different ways but it was hard because I felt like I knew more than he did and I couldn’t see what he was seeing.

Did you call the general reservation line? I'm a Visa holder and I didn't get an email about SPD and it's not on the Chase website, but obv. they released it...

Clueless CM. She sounded like I was bothering her. Didn't even say goodbye. She had no clue what a "gift of magic" offer was. I hung up to get a better CM and now i have a 1 hour+ wait.

That doesn't include the dining package. You can add it, but Stay, Play, Dine, does include the dining package. Only able to get that pricing on the phone so far.

My TA came back and said only preferred at POP are available and really not much savings to switch from standard pool view. I would rather keep what we have in the hope of getting a refurbed room.

I got the Play Stay Dine package but its called Family gift of Magic package.

That's not SPD. It is the same discount as the Gift of Magic room only rate (10-25%), plus the 6th day free if you buy 5 day hopper tickets (though that aspect doesn't seem to be working online at the moment, at least not for me).

Is the Visa discount different than the Gift of Magic? I modified my current reservation (online) at CSR using the Gift of Magic discount. Would the Visa discount be better?

What are your dates for POP? We have a standard room for Feb 1-8, 2018 and were able to apply the discount. In fact, it only showed the Standard rooms being able to apply the discount on MDE.

Just called and saved about $500 with PSD @ Coronado Springs, switching from Pop. My friend and her kids are booked at Pop as well, and she can't call in to change her reservation until after some meetings at work today...ugh. I hope it's still available.

I called in to modify a reservation, and verified the details a second time because the offer seemed too good! The new, modified reservation is not yet showing up under 'My Disney Experience'....it's still showing the original...does anybody know if it takes a while to change over to the new reservation in the system?

No dicount for me. Had Poly Garden View Club Level. I would have had to upgrade to a Cl Lagoon or Tp for discount.

From the posts here it sounds like Disney found a good way to upsell their rooms instead of just offering discounts.

I was able to apply Gift of Magic onto our January 18-22 reservation at ASSp and saved about $45. Nothing to write home about, but it's something. CM I talked to said there was nothing available for PHM weekend in value category. Wasn't able to add discount to Pop!

I went ahead and booked a garden view room at YC with 35% visa discount. No standard view discounts at CSR (where my original reservation was). So for an extra 600, went deluxe.

I sure hope this is the case! I am only seeing one discount. It saved me $98US but I'm hoping another deal is yet to be released that will save me a bit more.

We're there some of the same dates as you (Jan 27 - Feb 4) and I was also able to modify my reservation online. Saved $97.86. Not tons but I'll take it!
