In England, we call this "Christmas Day"
Huh?
Something only Canadians that live in the Prairies enjoy.

perogies
Being somewhat closer geographically to eastern Europe than we are, I'm surprised you've not heard of 'em.Huh?
no, no...Something only Canadians that live in the Prairies enjoy.
News said 9 foot waves. Good think i had emergency beer.
Morning all. Looks like all clear here as the staff are unloading umbrellas and beach chairs. The ocean is much calmer now.
So far so good. The waves look back to normal this AM, so hopefully, the ocean is over. Saw the police or beach patrol wave people out of the ocean past couple days. I didn't see anyone arrested
Had a great weekend get away to with the kids though UTC got crushed and the Cubs blew an 8th inning lead. Nice to just hang out for a couple of days out of town.
You may remember DW and I cooked turkey yesterday for the first time ever (wife's sister was only able to visit for dinner on Sunday). Anyway we tried the upside down roasting that Martha Stewart recommended and it seemed to work, it was really good turkey, juicy and tasty.
soooo.... full....
G'day dads! Just thought I'd introduce myself as I'm new to the DisBoards. Liam from Australia here
Well, I'm definitely full of it, but....
turkey
stuffing
gravy
mashed potatoes
dinner roll (with butter... I'm not a barbarian after all)
a very few stalks of asparagus (but I skipped the salad)
pickles
perogies
more turkey
more stuffing
more mashed potatoes
more gravy
apple pie
ice cream

So, would you say that she gets a plethora of credit?
Welcome to the Club!
I am wondering if you are the first member from Down Under??
no, no...
I've had 'em many a time.
Including at Epcot.
Dang tasty when well made.
doughy and mushy when done wrong.
Glad things are pretty much normal and you can use the beach. Enjoy. And thank heaven for emergency beer
.
Ever had one?
we pruned......the hedges........ of many small villages......and let's not even go there with the horses.Glad someone caught thay reference. Goodnight Ned!
Well, every day is a school day. Never heard of them. They look like the pot stickers at O'hana.
Yeah, not a huge fan of eastern european food. Send me down south and I'm happy mate. Especially when its Limoncello O'Clock.Being somewhat closer geographically to eastern Europe than we are, I'm surprised you've not heard of 'em.
No need to explain. Just going is reason enough.Emergency beer is almost gone. I need to make a beer run.
Whats the beach like?Single red flag today, so everyone out in the ocean.
Whats the beach like?
Surely you can't be serious.I'm not there but I would guess that there is some sand and some water.
I hear ya but to be honest, crap calls have been affecting all teams in all series. Umps missed one on Jay's bunt last night, he stepped out of the box when he made contact - should've been called out.I think the umpire blew the 8th inning lead not the cubs. Ball straight down the pipe and called a ball would've been the 3rd strike and never had the home run. Sorry, just a tad bitter about that crap call.
Welcome to our little clam bake here.G'day dads! Just thought I'd introduce myself as I'm new to the DisBoards. Liam from Australia here
Almost fell over LMAONow then, lets have a bit of decorum. Apart from that, I'm very impressed you could do all that after dinner.
WTH?! Just to tick off Cubs fans as I do not know of a team outside of FLA you follow?Gators with a disappointing loss but unlike in the past, not letting it get to me. Sounds like you had a good time. Oh, and Go Nats.
So you have had an emergency already to have consumed your "use in emergency only" supply? Make sure on your beer run you buy what you are gonna drink PLUS some for emergency...........Emergency beer is almost gone. I need to make a beer run.
And stop calling me ShirleySurely you can't be serious.
all together now......
My man.And stop calling me Shirley
Where about do you live? Any trips planned?
Yeah, I'm kinda thinkin' you might be right.I'm not there but I would guess that there is some sand and some water.
I hope you're not serious and if you are, you spelled it wrong --- Knats --- and they can go away from Wrigley without a game 5!!!!Gators with a disappointing loss but unlike in the past, not letting it get to me. Sounds like you had a good time. Oh, and Go Nats.
He is serious and stop calling him Shirley.Surely you can't be serious.
all together now......
How old are the kids?I live about an hour from Sydney but lived in Sydney my whole life before moving recently. No trips planned for the near future, waiting until the kids are a bit older before we do a big trip to WDW.

Welcome Liam. Great to have some input from down under!G'day dads! Just thought I'd introduce myself as I'm new to the DisBoards. Liam from Australia here
We just had too much good food but I'm sure there are plenty of family battles at these gatherings on both sides of the border. And I do hope all y'all up that way had a fine holiday filled with entirely too much good food and limited amounts of knock-down drag-out family arguments, strife and battles (or is that second bit of it unique to the US version of the observance?)
You have girls, boys?I live about an hour from Sydney but lived in Sydney my whole life before moving recently. No trips planned for the near future, waiting until the kids are a bit older before we do a big trip to WDW.
and stop calling him Shirley. Do you like movies about Gladiators?
