Need to get my own mimosa now

They wouldn't let me in to park at either the Boardwalk OR Yacht & Beach and by the time I got in over at Swan/Dolphin and walked out to where I could see people, the balloons passed me like 10 minutes later.

Talk about total, total fail.

Well, that was fun. Stopped for every single photo stop available (plus a port-o-potty) and ended up with a 2:04:XX 10k. Ended up being more a series of sprints since I was doing 7:30-8:00 miles in between stops. Hope that the fact that I was past 1:30:XX doesn't screw me for the challenge medal.

Congrats to everyone today and good luck to everyone running tomorrow!

As long as you cross the finish line for both races you get the challenge medal. I took two hours last year to get all kinds of pics.

I should've left my house earlier AND just planned to park at Swolphin originally. I'm so mad at myself. I went to eat at Ale & Compass last night at 8:35 p.m. and I got the only parking spot in the convention center lot, so I don't know why I expected there to be some this morning.

My mind is obviously not working as well as I would like it to right now.

I am planning to be at the TTC tomorrow though ... no bag check to get there, I wonder if I can bring my mimosas with me to share with my DisFriends ...

Also, Merida was on the overpass just after the start. I was super disappointed the signature princess for the race wasn't available pre or post race for photos, and also wasn't really a photo opp on the course! I went and stood in line in the hot sun that afternoon for 30 minutes to get a pic. Bonus though, she signed my medal and we had a nice little chat.
