I SOOO should have changed my cruise earlier. I booked a concierge room for an Alaskan cruise this summer, but we cannot sail on that date and now would like to change our booking to May 2019. However, if I don't pay the cruise in full by March 9th or change to another cruise, I will lose my deposit! Yikes!! I have been trying all morning to get through, but I get nothing but busy signals. I e-mailed the concierge for DCL and a DCL travel agent directly, but no response so far! Help!

I’m on this cruise. I booked this cruise number one reason the price. Also I have never been to icy straight point. Heard another person saying it’s not much at icy straight point. But it’s something new for us. Also I might book the repo cruise when or if it comes available.

Don’t worry about the weathe I was on DCL first Alaska cruise that left may 3 2011. Weather wasn’t that bad. It will be a little cool in September but the money we are saving we can buy some extra warm clothes. Remember layers is your friend.

Cool! Alaska is new for us, none of us have been. Going with my in-laws who are pretty low-key. I will remind them to layer a lot as they are from So Cal, and we are from NYC. I loved cold weather crusing. Bundling up on Deck 9/10 with blankets and hot chocolate was wonderful. The money saved was great, it ended up being cheaper than I expected it to be. I guess I will go get myself a few new Disney hoodies now that I can afford it!

Are we totally certain that we'd get the full Costco Cash amount by booking through DCL and transferring (within 30 days) to Costco instead of booking directly through Costco? I know that's what everyone has been saying, but the verbiage on Costco's website worries me:

To receive your Costco Cash Card, you must book directly through Costco Travel. Bookings made through Disney Cruise Line or the Disney onboard cruise consultant are not eligible for this Costco Travel benefit. Costco Cash Card offer is valid for dates specified and is only valid for bookings made through Costco Travel.

Still debating over which number to call tomorrow morning...

Hmmm...I wonder if Costco looks at an actual booked cruise transfer vs a place holder differently. We have definitely gotten Costco cash cards with transferred cruises, but they have always been placeholders and then we book a cruise with Costco from that. Maybe Costco's sytem sees those as a new cruise. Don't really know.

We have definitely gotten Costco cash cards with transferred cruises, but they have always been placeholders and then we book a cruise with Costco from that. Maybe Costco's sytem sees those as a new cruise. Don't really know.

That's what I wondered. We are NOT using a placeholder this time, so I didn't take any chances and called Costco directly (we need the Costco Cash to make this cruise happen). Almost 5 hours ago. She is still on hold with Disney...

Success with Costco! Thanks goodness I didn't stay on hold 2.5 hours after I got through to Costco. I didn't ask for the per person costs knowing how swamped everything is! I will update the 5/20 date when I get my invoice.
