Thank you for posting! I like them much better than last year. Were these stealth added? I haven’t seen any kind of announcement about them. But then I’ve been looking for course releases more!

Yeah they normally just add them and don’t announce it or anything.

Yes! The litter happened at the right time for us - long enough since Jafar's passing that we know we gave him the best life possible but not too long so that Gaston is still active enough to help us train Gantu on the rules of the house!

I think the price is higher because it’s a leather bag, compared to previous releases that were coated cotton with leather trim. If you have an AP or DVC membership I think you should get a discount if you buy at the expo (they don’t do discounts on pre-ordered stuff anymore). I think Disney Visa gets a discount as well.

I’m really glad it’s leather and not coated cotten. I didn’t get last year’s for that reason. I’m also inclined to wait for the expo for the discount too and to actually look at it!

Last year they released maps and corrals on the same day- March 30th (or exactly 3 weeks from race weekend). I would expect the same this year (that would be March 29th this year).

Still early, but if they want to sell more registrations, they may put out the race guide soon (and that's where the course maps will be)...

I've always thought it would be a good idea to release course maps, medals, etc earlier so it entices people to sign up. If I saw a cool medal I wanted or saw an interesting course map, it would absolutely make me sign up for it.

I think they sort of did that this year in early January when they announced the virtual Star Wars Half in and unveiled the Dark Side Half medal along with the virtual Half medal and the Kessel Run medal. Obviously, we don't know what the course looks like yet, but we've known the half medal design since early January and the other Dark Side medals since early February.

Beginning training in early January gives someone enough time to complete a half in late April. Although more difficult, one can start training in early January and still have sufficient time to be ready for the Dark Side Half.
