Does anyone LOVE Pop?

I'm leaving in 10 days for DW! Yay!
But staying at Pop for my first time and I'm beginning to regret.
I think I've been on these boards too much
I have read horrible things...even that it is haunted.
Please tell me someone loves it!

I haven't been in almost a decade, but I'd still book there in a heartbeat if I was going a time of year when the parks were open late and I was just looking for a bed.

Pop is awesome! I stayed there last year and am going back this fall! Funny part is, both of these have been adult trips! My poor kiddos haven’t stayed there yet! (We have 5 ppl and would require 2 rooms there.) I’ve heard the new refurbished rooms have amazing beds- as good or better than deluxes! I’m excited!

I've stayed in both the not renovated rooms (a few years ago) and a renovated room. While to say I love Pop might be going to far, I would say it's my favorite value resort if you get a renovated room. To be fair, I'm not a fan of the value or moderate resorts but do stay in both for a night or two during a split stay. My child is a grown up so we don't need the over the top theming, I don't like riding the buses everywhere and the value resorts tend to be a little too busy and loud in the common areas for me. Having said that, if my son were still young or finances were what they were when he was young, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Pop for an entire trip.

Me, my mom and sister love Pop! We call it our "dvc" because we stay here so often and it always feels like home. If you are preferred the buildings are super close to the main lobby, the pools are great, the food court breakfast is one of my favorite traditions (lunch is so - so but we find we are usually in the parks by then so thats a non-issue), its super close to DHS, EPCOT and the Boardwalk (and really not a bad drive to AK or MK) and the newly renovated rooms are awesome! I cant speak for the bus side of it all because we rent a car but you'll definitely have a great time!

Haunted? Lol.... Maybe by DVC owners who were fated to spend time in this lovely resort, which was considered a slum by their standards....

Yeah, I was kind of freaked out when I read about the "haunted activities" that people have experience.

Pop lover here! I love the refurbished rooms! The grounds are lovely, the pools are cute and never super crowded, the CMs are friendly and there are some very nice views around the resort. I love the smell in the lobby too. While I prefer to stay deluxe if possible, I would have a hard time choosing between Pop and a moderate. We have a one night stay at Pop in June followed by 13 nights deluxe, and my DD asked if we could spend more of our nights at Pop!

I recently did a count of stays at POP. I am at 8/11 since 2010 and my mom is 6/8 since 2011 with our next one starting tomorrow. Theonther stays were ASM and FQ for both of us and AKL for me.

I stayed at POP the first time kicking and screaming. I didn't want trivia & decades, I wanted DISNEY! Well I got both and never regretted it for a second. Have over 35 stays and honestly will pay more to stay there over the Allstars any given day. :hippie:

Horrible things? .............. about the resort itself? I can't imagine anything specific to that resort that would be true.

Haunted? OOOOHHHHH, please tell, I want to hunt down and meet those spirits! :hmghost:

POP is one of our favorites!!! :lovestruc

ME!!! It is my 2nd favorite resort overall (AKL gets top spot).

Pop is amazing - clean, well laid-out, great options in food and activities, the CM's are usually fantastic, the smells and sounds are delicious, and the transportation is efficient.

I would never hesitate to stay there..

Also - I have heard, too, that the 70's section is haunted. Some creepy stories about it. However, I have stayed in the 70's twice and never experienced it.. and actually requested that section for my upcoming trip...

The only thing haunting about the 70s is the music in the courtyard...maybe the foosball players come to life at night?

Many people wake to the hangers moving. Some see a dark form in the room. Always near hangers. The form looks like a girl. Eek!
