4/16-6/29 Toy Story Mania Facts & Discussion - NEWS: Ride Open w/Same Day FP (6/19-29)

We were able to ride TSMM twice with very little wait the night of 5/2! The first time was around 8:15-8:30 with a standby wait of 40 min posted. There were very few people in line outside, so we hopped in and it took no more than 15 mins, if that. When we exited the ride, there was no one outside, and this wait had to be only 5-10 min. I think they had lowered the standby wait to 15-20 min outside, but again it was practically a walk-on. Attendance in HS was really low that day though so I assume this is not always the case, but we were so excited to get to ride it twice with no hassle. We were walking out of the park as they were getting ready to start the star wars fireworks.

I just tried to schedule a fastpass for my trip in June. I wasn't sure what Disney meant about fastpasses not be available through June 7th. (I wasn't sure if they were to be available today or tomorrow.) Anyways, they were not available as of 7:00 a.m. this morning. I guess that I will keep checking.

The announcement was actually that they will be unavailable through May 7. So, that could mean that tomorrow morning (May 8) at 7am, all FP are open for the next 60 days, or it could mean just day-of FPs starting tomorrow, or maybe nothing will happen tomorrow. I suppose we'll know tomorrow!

I was also hoping FPs would be available. This is disappointing. I'll keep checking, but if not I'll try for same day passes when we're there.

The same day FPs were only offered for a few days after April 12th because the start of construction was delayed. My guess is once they open it back up they will be available for all days leading up to June 30th. That or it will be SB only through June 30th. Of course that's just a guess.......

I agree. They were a week behind closing the tracks so I"m guessing a week delayed in opening FP up again. Our DHS is one week from today so I"m hoping they open for that or we might just skip TSM this trip which is unfortunate since ds doesn't do thrill rides.

Just FYI - on the mobile App and online (correction - it still shows May 7th online) TSM under FP description no longer mentions the May 7th date for FPs being unavailable

Interesting... What do we make of this? It could be it's just unavailable indefinitely (whether close to TSL opening or whenever they catch up to the possible 5/8 date), but why not put that it's unavailable for the moment, or something like that? Maybe they're within a few days of opening it but just don't know when yet? I don't know. We are back to Disney telling us absolutely nothing.

The wildly popular Toy Story Mania! attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closed for a whole week in June as complete the new queue and entrance for the attraction. Official dates of closure are June 11th through June 18th, reopening on June 19th.

When Toy Story Land opens, the entrance and exit for Toy Story Mania! will be located in the new land, and not Pixar Place like it currently is.

Toy Story Land is slated to open to the public on June 30, 2018.

The official Advisory on the "HUB" says that it will return to full operation on the 20th. That's either a typo or not all tracks will be operating on the 19th.

Yes, I just modified my fp on June 2 and got TSMM. I had RNR, but my 8 year old will not ride that and would much rather do TSMM!
