“Official” 2018 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – Strategy and Itinerary Thread

Last night being a sell out, I’ll wait a few more weeks reading about Party experiences before deciding how many character meets I’ll try for. I’ll still go for Jack and Sally my first night (October 25). If they come out at 5 and I line up at 3:30-3:45, I’ll wait up to 90 minutes for them but would pass at waiting 3 hours during the 7-12 timeframe which was reported last night. I’d try to get to 7 dwarves by 5:30 and be out of that line by 7. The rest of that night would be doing Character meets that interested me and were no more than a 20 minute wait. My next Party night, I’d line up for Moana and try to get Winnie the Pooh before 7 and then follow the same plan. I would probably make an exception for Cruella and the Queen of Hearts and wait longer than my 20 minute maximum but not by much.
I didn’t see any reports about character meets and magic shots near HH. Did anyone spent
D time there and what were the time waits like?
I read one report of a DVC member arriving between 2-4 and getting their wristband. This will make getting in line easier for me on both of my Party days. I wasn’t looking forward to sending my 10 year old to get his wristband while I waited in line.

Yes DVC members can get in at 2pm.

yes. I just don't know if the bypass is open that early or not. Still trying to figure that out.

So it looks like Chiisai was able to get the popcorn bucket fairly easily. Just confirming that it’s only available in liberty square and goes on sale at 7PM. I’m just trying to figure out my game plan because I def want one.

It’s definitely huge though, so I’ll need to make extra room in my luggage for it.

They are at several carts selling them- liberty, jungle, and the one at the castle, right side (cast members told me that castle one would have the most)- and possibly more. I lined up at liberty somewhere between 6:35 and 6:50pm and was 15th or so ( I think I posted if you check my post history). They said they wouldn’t sell before 7pm, but they started a few min before.

We'll be attending 25th oct party and will be in the park since early morning. Does someone have info about the time the wristbands for the party are available in Philarmagic? We won't be doing the bypass so we will try to be in line for Jack and Sally as early as possible.

I believe the bypass is where you get your initial bag of candy.

I’ve always had a castmember distribute the wristband at the turnstile.
