I will pay off my card each month, I do not have a Disney Visa, Maybe I should just get a secured Discover It card and make payments until my credit score goes up, I tried for a Chase Amazon card 1 year ago and got turned down... or maybe a quicksilver capital one card.....
Sometimes when you're looking to rebuild credit you may get stuck with a card with a small annual fee just to get more positive data points posted on your report. Hubby did that for a couple years while working through a mistake on his report. I know Capital One is known for having a range of products for credit levels, but the one for average credit that also earns rewards has a $39 AF (QuickSilverOne). If you haven't yet, I'd check out their description for Excellent and Average credit and compare to your history to see where you think you fall in there. Maybe you could qualify for the regular Quicksilver card and avoid the fee. But the secured Discover's not a bad choice, it earns cashback with no AF at least and you can turn it into an unsecured later to keep the length of account going. I don't know a whole lot about Discover's process but I wonder if you apply for the regular card and if denied you can get them to reconsider and at least issue the secured version? That way it's only one inquiry. Many years ago I argued my way into my Discover card when it was initially denied, not sure how much they've changed, but could be worth a shot.
