Disney Skyliner (Gondola Transportation System) Read Post 1 Now Open!

I would like to know this, too. And more specifically, what is the percentage of cabins unwrapped that have characters? 50%? 25% ?

I don't think we can find that out yet because we don't know if what they have unwrapped is consistent with what is still wrapped.

Liked GoTG cabin, are there other Marvel/Avengers since these are not "inside" a park?

Technically speaking they will briefly enter Epcot once the Rat are is complete.

Never thought of that, it appeared they were outside of that corner but very likely not.

I wonder if they could just keep some on the other 2 lines, or do they all go everywhere.

Keeping Gondolas wrapped until the line they are on has been at least partially tested makes perfect sense. I don't think that the wraps are meant so much to protect them from sun/wind as they are meant to protect from bangs and scrapes against machinery components and installation tools.

I've been wondering if the gondolas will be assigned a line basically forever. I.e. if when they are parked they don't mix the lines. I am thinking this will likely be the case. I am sure there is some way for them to intermix them in the parking, but I bet the standard will be these rails are EPCOT, these rails are DHS, and these rails are POP.

I also know liftblog said awhile ago it wasn't expected that they would be parked except during emergencies (i.e. hurricanes).

I'm staying at the Pop in November. I'm probably one of the few (at least I hope I am) not planning to ride the Skyliner to the Studios for Star Wars.

Because they don't have AC? No.
Because I'll have to ride with rando's? No
Because of long lines? No.

Because I want to beat the hoards of people they will carry to the entrance gate. I'll Lyft over before the Skyliner get's started in the morning so I can get a jump on people using them. It's a vacation. I'll sleep when I'm back at work. I will defiantly ride them back in the evening of course.

* OK, that was a typo but I like the way it sounds so I'm letting it stand.

Wait and see how they work without air vents before complaining about ac
Riding with rando's does that mean you only ever drive because on the buses you ride with randos
I have seen really long lines with buses so that means you don't use them. Personally I will give them a go before complaining but I can't see if they work well the buses keep going they will get rid of them

I don't believe the OP was complaining that the won't have AC. (That horse died long ago!!!)

They were stating they want to get to the park as early as possible so will choose to Lyft to DHS to be towards the front of the line rather than ride the Skyliner.

I've always wondered if the Park lots open the exact same time as the buses, and this case the gondolas.

Or if the gondolas might run earlier, or even later for that matter.

Heck I'm not sure if the lots ever close actually.

I would assume yes, just curious.

If that's indeed becomes the case, I think they could have a Spiderman, B Panther or whatever Marvel they want on 2 lines.

I think you misinterpreted the post you were quoting - OP was saying they are not concerned with those reasons/those have nothing to do with why they wont' ride it - it is because they want to get to DHS earlier that the Skyliner will be running

Basically it was structured as: "Is the reason i won't ride the Skyliner because there is no A/C? No, my decision to not ride it has nothing to do with A/C or not"

Them what posted above me explained the situation clearly.

My experience is, no the lots do not close. I once read the schedule wrong and arrived at Epcot around 5am for a 9am opening. The lot was open with no attendants. Yea! for free parking.

Interesting. I wonder if that will work for SWGE, other than the 2 month EMH thing anyway..

I'd love to see one with the main Muppets and a separate one with Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem
Lol, so I’m a dentist, and I have an oil painting in my waiting room that I bought at the Art of Disney of Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem! Although, I’ve never had a patient see the irony on my choice of art...but I guess I really got it for me, anyway :)
