I heard a rumour ages ago that the Guardians ride would include references to all old Epcot attractions - something along the lines that Quill had visited when he was a kid. Although with it definitely being called the Xandarian (spelling might be iffy there) Outpost that seems less likely I do agree that Epcot doesn't seem like the best natural fit for GotG, but Epcot needs all the help it can get and it finally seems like it's getting it. And I cannot deny that the ride building so far seems impressive.

aahhh, that makes sense! And yes! At the end of the day, I'd rather have a new and out of place GotG ride in Epcot than an overlay of our ToT!

A lot of it looked new to me, except Kylo taking down that guy with his lightsaber and Rey standing in front of the ruins of the death star. Never saw Poe in the cockpit of the Falcon during the teaser trailer and Rey's line about it being too dangerous was also new.
