Dumb question but if you book a normal room through Disney reservations do they also not have the lotion or pen/paper or this is a DVC thing. If I booked the BCV through Disney reservations I know the mousekeeping is included but are there other things that are different than if I was a DVC member staying on points? I actually use the pen paper a lot in rooms.
Are guest surveys still a thing?
Please reply only if you have received a survey to complete following a Disney stay in the past year.
I have a section devoted to the importance of the surveys in the FAQ post, but I suspect this is outdated info.
When is your trip?
All YC CL Standard View rooms are on the 5th floor (top floor of the resort) and have full balconies. There is just one YC CL room, water view room 4163, I believe, that does not have a balcony.
Maybe close to lobby. If I recall correctly some of the further YC CL rooms have pretty awful views.
We went last December and did receive a survey to complete. It was huge! It took me forever to just wander through and score the things we did. It's very extensive, almost to be point of annoyance. Are guest surveys still a thing?

I've received a WDW survey, a WDW resort survey, and a Hollywood Studios food and beverage survey. All were received fairly recently. Are guest surveys still a thing?

I have never stayed in a DVC room. I have had 3 stays at WDW this year.... 2 in YC club level rooms & 1 at AS Movies. None of those rooms had the pen & paper. Our stays at YC were before the lotion was removed. There was no lotion at Movies in August, but I don’t know if they ever provided it.
You can drop your bags at the Dolphin bell station and ask that they transfer the bags to the YC for you. There is no fee for the service, but a tip is very appropriate. Even when I can get a late check-out at the Swan, I drop my bags off on my way out in the morning, so that the transfer occurs ASAP. You can either walk to the YC or take a short, relaxing boat ride, which will get you there in just a few minutes.I have two questions. We leave tomorrow for the Dolphin for one night before our YC stay. Is it a fairly easy walk with luggage between the two or should we Uber?
Secondly, since our room won’t be ready until the afternoon, we intended to pack our swim suits in our backpacks to enjoy the pool after checking out GE in DHS. I thought I read that there are lockers I. The changing rooms to store our backpacks. Are these pretty easy to get? Thanks for any advice!
Only one path to HS. You'll see BWI on the way.Ok my next question. Can you walk on both sides of the lagoon (whatever it's called) to get to DHS from BCV? Or do you have to walk around to the BW side to get there? Is there a bridge farther down to cross over?
Thank you! Yes she is settled now and doing better. And thank you for adding us to the BOG list. We have another trip planned in the spring but are still finagling dates so will wait.Sorry for all you have gone through with your mom. I hope she is doing well and is settled now.
You can walk on the YC side of Crescent Lake, if that’s what you’re asking, but for getting to HS you’ll end up having to cross over to the Boardwalk anyway, as that’s the only path to the park. But yes, you can get there from either side.Ok my next question. Can you walk on both sides of the lagoon (whatever it's called) to get to DHS from BCV? Or do you have to walk around to the BW side to get there? Is there a bridge farther down to cross over?
Thank you for the information! I was worried about not getting my luggage in time to change for dinner! We may try walking with it!You can drop your bags at the Dolphin bell station and ask that they transfer the bags to the YC for you. There is no fee for the service, but a tip is very appropriate. There are free lockers at the YC, if that's what you are asking about.

Ok next question. When taking Magical Express to the resort is it usually a drop off in a certain order or do they randomly stop? Is there an estimate to how long it takes to get to BCV after landing from MCO? We are pretty fast walkers so we tend to get through the airports quick (I do a lot of business travel for a living).
Drop bags early in morning and they should arrive early afternoon. You would need to either stop at YC bell stand for bags or call from room to have them delivered.Thank you for the information! I was worried about not getting my luggage in time to change for dinner! We may try walking with it!
I got a survey after my August 2019 BCV stay (cash resie booked through CRO, not points stay booked through DVC).
However... Disney has cast members in the parks who are stopping people and asking for their email address. I gave it to one of them. So the survey may have resulted from that rather than from staying at a Disney hotel.
I don't recall the questions. If you want to know what the survey questions are, you might want to ask people to screen shot the questions as they complete the survey.

I received one from our Poly stay in July. The Poly was the 1st of a 3 resort split and didn't have time to reply to it. I didn't receive any from our May YC/GF trip. Are guest surveys still a thing?

In your case I would request close to the lounge and a room on the large shared balcony. I know a lot of people don't like that large balcony but we love it especially when traveling with friends. The view is one of the best standard views at the YC...some of them are pretty bad. Make sure to let them know you have two rooms and would like them on that balcony...that request is pretty easy to get since most people don't want that balcony.Just booked YC CL Standard view for 6 nights. We had to book 2 rooms, so our first request is to have the rooms near one another, the second request was to have balconies. Should I put in for a third request? How are the CL Standard view rooms and do they all have full balconies? Are all CL located higher?
Trick question!! You can walk both sides, but on the "non BW" side or the Swan/Dolphin side you will need to go up to the main road via a path, cross over the overpass via sidewalk, and then back down to the BW side via a path to pick up the walkway to DHS. It's a little out of the way and adds more time but doable. Your best bet is to stick with the BW side. I will add that the Swan/Dolphin side is more treed and offers shade, but that would be offset by the detour to get to the other side. BTW I was actually kidding about the "trick question"!Ok my next question. Can you walk on both sides of the lagoon (whatever it's called) to get to DHS from BCV?
