Does anyone know if a redeposit fee for changing an award flight will trigger the Amex Plat airline credit? I need to change a trip, and I have 2 Plats with credits sitting around, but I don't want to be stuck with United as my airline of choice for the year unless I know that I've got a good use for the first $200 at least!
It worked for me with JetBlue. Showed up as "additional collection" & the credit posted the next day.

Lol, we must be in the same time frame. I was an '83 baby. I had a Rainbow Bright bike, got my first skip it, and watched A LOT of TV.....those you mentioned plus punky Brewster, Jem and the Holograms, etc. Then I got a tad older (like 6 or 7) and it was all New Kids on the Block, MTV, and TGIF with Family Matters, Full House, Step by Step.
Yep! ‘82 and definitely watched all of those too

@Lain - thanks for your write up about the inexpensive spring flights to OGG yesterday. I sent part of it to DH who is now asking me if I want to go!!!! I don't know if it will work out, but just thinking about it is making me really happy today. :goodvibes

Yeah, it just kind of worked out. We were not looking forward to spending DD's spring break in the cold. I had a bunch of Hilton points that we didn't have plans to use in the next year to splurge on the Grand Wailea. And flights to Hawaii are cheap this winter and spring!

My wife probably would've preferred the Big Island. Volcanoes! Black Sand Beach! Coffee Plantations! Macadamia Nut Farms! And the foodie in her really wants to check out the mochi at Two Ladies Kitchen in Hilo. But Maui was a bit easier to plan. Next time.

I hope you two can take advantage of the low fares!

If your fries make it home you are doing it wrong. Fries always get eaten while driving. Bonus points if they are still hot enough to burn your mouth.
Yup. DH gets mad because I've never been a big fry eater, but some places I really want a few and I'll eat a handful on the way home and then I'm done. :rotfl:

Mochi! We went there last time - yum! There's currently no viewable lava, so it may be just as well for you. Next time!

I checked into my award flight on AA. Printed boarding passes no problem. That means I'm good, right? I won't have problems at the airport?
It’s a good sign but people have been shutdown between checkin and flight time. I don’t want to scare you but that’s just a fact :( So far people who make it to a few hours before the flight and then get cancelled still seem to be able to board. Something about the ticket being under control of the airport by that time.

I had a few AA miles that posted from my last statement that pushed me high enough to cash out for another $100 in Disney gc and basically wiped out dh’s account. Just redeemed those and do the waiting game begins as to whether these ship.
Good luck.
