Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Just curious if GF CL ever has the strawberry soup that the GF is so famous for?
i didn’t see it the times we hit midday offerings, which is when they had soup. I forgot that at some point I had read about it, and would have liked to try it. I think I saw chicken noodle (maybe, I can’t really remember) and tomato twice.

Sorry you can’t see the food all that well, I felt strange taking all of the photos so I really didn’t want to get close enough to get each food and the label separately; I hope you can at least get the gist. I was very pleased with the food here, and for us any service we happened to be around during was enough to make a meal out of. We still make our favorite ADRs, although I backed off a bit this trip, and we still eat in the parks on our longer park days, but I feel we can eat many of our meals from the lounge and be content. Today we went to captain cooks just because we like it, but I stopped as we walked through to see what they had, so we hit every service today.

Thank you for taking the time out of your vacation to take these amazing pictures. We are skipping staying at GF RPC this year, to stay at our other favorite BWI. Your posts have made me ready to book back . :flower1:
 
Hi, y’all! I don’t get on the boards much anymore so when I do, I can’t possibly read all the pages I’ve missed!

I’ve been at WDW this week, flying home later today, and wanted to post some YC info for anyone interested. We had a GREAT experience and this CL is still near the top of our list!

CMs were wonderful - not a cranky one in the group! Food offerings are slightly less than our last stay here, but still plentiful and delicious!

Over the many years we’ve stayed on WDW property, we have received several room upgrades (much appreciated!). When we checked in early this week, we were told we had been upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite!! We were on the 4th floor (4209), a long walk from the Club Lounge and it was the happiest walk ever!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: If we never get another upgrade, that will be fine - this one was incredible!!



One more thing I did want to add re MagicBands. Multiple CMs have told me that if we receive a survey, please include our frustration over not being able to “decline” them on MDE.

A CM did say she found the link once recently, but can’t find it anymore (so maybe it is there?) I finally have all but 2 of my MBs removed! Deactivating them doesn’t “remove” them so they can still create issues for guests.

It has been frustrating to be unable to decline MBs. We don't want any more of them!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have grey bands waiting at the front desk and don't pick them up, they will be removed from your MDE account a few days after your trip is over. But it is annoying that they keep sending them. :(

Thanks so much for your review. We’ll be there this summer. You’re upgrade sounds like such a special treat. Even if it was the n the 4th floor, the suite must’ve been beautiful. Glad you had a great stay.

Thanks for posting! We keep toying with the idea of staying RPC and this gives us a really good look at all of the offerings. I appreciate you taking the time to share. I hope you are having a great time!
 
I did that over the phone with IT prior to this stay. But the ones I kept are all relatively current, I don’t want to have to get rid of that many! I mean, they push for you to buy all of these special ones, and they even let you upgrade at a discount the one you get with your room stay, but they can’t handle it on their system? I did inactivate the ones we won’t be using this trip, I’ve been told both that inactivating does and doesn’t make a difference, but I figure it can’t hurt. The CM on the 3rd floor desk told me they hadn’t planned for people to make so many trips and build up so many magic bands when they started it!

We had lots of trouble with our magic bands last summer and I would like to remove all old bands in hopes of heading off trouble for our July trip. Calling before the trip seems best to me.

Glad to hear a good report on YC CL. It was among our favs until our disastrous post-New Years stay. We probably won’t try it again for a good long time (if ever again), but I’m glad to hear it is back on track as it was lovely.

I commented on it in this thread back in early January but basically the gist of it was that we had a very short one night stay where everything went wrong from our magic bands not working repeatedly to where we couldn’t even make it up the elevator to our floor/ open our door etc multiple times, grumpy CM, extreme crowds, poor food that was not as indicated on posted menu, issues with alcohol not being served when requested...We had just stayed there in August and it was awesome then

Thanks. I honestly really think it was just the post Christmas rush blahs (especially with the inattentiveness and grumpiness of the CM). And it felt like they oversold the rooms by the overall crowds and the last minute menu changes. That’s why I’m happy to hear new better reports than ours, but I’m not sure I’m willing to pay CL prices again at YC for awhile although I still love the resort.
