Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Everyone got a seat all 3 mornings.

Good to know. We’re not going until July, so who knows what the process for DHS will be by then? Looks like they’ve dropped all openings to 8am for the next month or so and EMH mornings are being changed to EMH evenings.

I just got notified that the a.m. EMH at DHS on June 28 has been changed to PM already. I'm guessing that means that they've done that all the way through June at least (but I didn't look to be sure).

same thing for one of our days in April trip. Open to 10:30PM instead of 8:30.
with the new tiers is it better to go to a DHS this day? hoping to get FP+ for MMRR and SDD ( 2 days at DHS) and try standby for MFSR later in the evening.

Just checked for July and they also changed. Makes me think they’re planning on continuing to use BGs for RotR thru summer If so, it makes sense to get rid of EMH mornings and replacing them all with evenings, especially if people are showing up as early as they are. Also wonder if this will make the SkyLiner a viable option for openings this summer?

Wonder what other ideas/changes they might be considering. As of right now Disney doesn’t give Disney resort guests many perks for RotR or DHS. I could see them potentially doing something like the 11pm-1am EMH they did for Pandora 2 or 3 years ago?

Was wondering the same thing? We we’re planning on doing the EMH morning for our trip in July, but now that that’s changed to EMH evenings I’d think that would probably mean the park will be busier that day? Hollywood Studios is really messing up our park scheduling. Our plan was doing HS on the afternoon we arrive, the EMH morning and probably one other morning. Guess I know what I’m gonna be talking to my brother about this weekend. I‘m really kinda missing DHS being a half day park right now. :rotfl:

I don't see Rise Of the Resistance being offered for EMH for at least a year-just too much demand.

There has never been an attraction like it-every morning is still like "Opening Day".

And demand will only increase-at some point 77,000 Cast Members will have their Blackout lifted. :)

Sorry for the ridiculous question.... but, what is the noise level like at this resort during the nighttime? I've never stayed at a Value resort (only POR and DWL), but I'm trying to save some money on my upcoming trip. I get that the cost of the rooms will attract more families, but is noise generally an issue?

You beat me with your post before I could fix it. I meant to say many, not any. That said, this goes beyond RotR. One of the advantages EMH mornings had was allowing Disney resort guests to open the park an hour before everyone else. As much as I hate losing that hour of sleep, and means that park will probably be busier throughout the day, we’ve found that we could get a lot done during that hour. We just alway make sure to leave the park early afternoon. This year we won’t have that option now.

I do agree with you about RotR being like no other ride they’ve ever had to deal with. It’s why I’ve never been overly critical of BGs process, because it’s probably the best compromise they could make. Could you imagine what a mess it would be if it was FP only? Better to make someone upset they day of than 60 days out. :rotfl:

Nothing ridiculous about that question at all. Honestly there are to many variables to give you a great answer. So much depends on the building your staying in, if there are any large groups like the 15s that we’re recently mentioned here, etc.

If noise is a concern, you might want to request a 4th floor room or a more out of the way location away from pools or congestion points. We’ve only stayed at the POP once and were located on the top floor, on the back half of the 50s building 2. We didn’t have any noise issues and honestly rarely saw people on the floor.

Dumb quick question.
I haven’t stayed onsite since the new resort parking fees began. When I’m pricing my room out on the website, is that already included in my total? Or is that something I pay separate when we arrive/leave?

Stay at Pop multiple times each year. Noise at night has never been a problem. Rarely a room next door can be heard but this can happen at any resort.

It is not included in room prices. You will be charged during your stay.

What Preferred rooms would be close to Classic Hall but also not too far from the Gondolas? We have some mobility issues so are trying to minimize walking and DH will have an ECV. Looking at TP, it looks like some rooms in Bldg. 4 & 5 on the splash pad side would be good but it may be a little noisy. Another option I see would be Bldg. 6, rooms 6107-6112 and the views look decent here. We will request 1st floor and we want decent views. I want to have TP send a FAX with our requests 30 days before arrival, which is in about two weeks. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I also like buildings 4, 5 and 6 for preferred. Building 3 in the 50’s is not a bad choice for preferred as well. I would request to be across from the Splash pad in buildings 4 and 5 if view is important. Yes. It may be a bit noisy as people head to the gondola, but I find the preferred rooms facing inwards towards the courtyard in buildings 4 and 5, noisy from the maid carts and maids early in the morning.

I didn't think about Building 3. That would give us close access to a pool since the Hippy Dippy Pool will be closed. It would be a little farther to the gondolas but not too bad I guess. Maybe it would be a little quieter than by the splash pad. Seems like the splash pad would be busier because the pool is closed, unless the splash pad is closed too??
