News Round Up 2020

Non-Disney News:

Indiana Beach is closing :(. I only went once, but it was a fun classic amusement park.

The same group is also closing Fantasy Island here in Buffalo that they purchased a few years ago. They are currently selling off the rides. It was listed as "rumor" the other day and confirmed by the local news today.

Sad to see more small local places shutter.

less than 3 months between theater and digital release? When will people just stop going to the theatre alltogether now? :)

Well, it's going to work that way for me. I intentionally didn't want to see this movie in the theater and will merely wait until Redbox. However, I did see Midway in the theater and purchased the 4K/BR this week as it had the extras that weren't a part of the digital release earlier this month. So maybe folks will wait to see if the extras for Skywalker will push them towards a disc version.

We don't see nearly as many movies as we used to see in the theaters simply because the content isn't what it was before OR we've just become more selective in what we opt to see. We still love going to the movies but we used to see 2-3 per month back in the day, these days we could go months without seeing one.

The bigger blockbusters though we tend to see in theaters with exception to Pixar and Disney animation where we really only see those if doing a DISer meet. Solo though was the only Star Wars movie we opted to wait til the library got it.
