Right now, there're only 4 ports in the US with LNG permanent refueling capability: Seattle, port of LA, the port between NOLA & Houston whose name is escaping me along with...Port Canaveral. Miami had/has work in progress to develop a barge delivered capability and other ports are discussing the issue, but (as far as I know) that's it. The majority of permanent LNG refueling capability exists in Europe and to a lesser extent Asia.
You forgot Jacksonville and Georgia. Jax has production capacity for about120,000 gallons a day with storage for 2 million gallons. Most of that it is for Tote Marine. Ga, on the other hand has roughly 2.5 million gallons per day production, and a lot more storage. I think Ga is where the lng for Carnival and Disney is coming from. Supposedly, there is a lng line that runs near the Space Center, and the port was looking into tapping the line and running it to the port. Not sure where that is now. I was just looking and depending on who you read, the port isnt doing anything at the moment regarding bringing in the line. However, every body and there brothers uncle, are preparing for the first lng ship to arrive. The FD is training, the CG signed off on it already, and the port has a plan to deal with it for now.
