News Round Up 2020

Anyone know why they’re keeping Hilton Head & Aulani open? Phased closing or something else?
Aulani I could see keeping it open because they are on an island so far away from the U.S.--part exposure risk is probably lower (Hawaii the island chain itself does have cases though in low numbers and all are travel related at this point) but also logistically harder.

I could see barring incoming reservations but given that if you close the resort many of the guests would be left out in the cold as flights are probably harder to come by they may be slower to want to close that...at the moment that is.

A Australian who just got back from hawaii tested positive yesterday so it's probably pretty bad in hawaii also. Testing probably hasn't caught up but
TDescriptors of "probably pretty bad" just ramps up panic levels when at the moment the information known doesn't support that. That can obviously change. Just keeping things in perspective I'd probably say New York is pretty bad right now, Washington is pretty bad right now, California is pretty bad right now.

Keep in mind that to get back to the mainland many fly to LAX or SEA if that's even possible right now.

Disney hopes it’s real soon. Could be a few months or longer. Nice video even thou it might not be true

well, I guess more the idea of trying to send the message of "we will be here in the future, you can come back, you will have Disney again" - even if "soon" might mean different things to different people

Problem for me with this video is the parks should have closed days earlier so kinda provides a weird feeling seeing this having been filmed after the warnings from the CDC came out
