I’m really not much of a puzzle person to be honest. I find it really boring. I’d love to get some LEGO’s but can’t justify the price

We all love Legos here. I know what you mean about the price, though. DH found Hogwarts at Target one evening at over half off (I think someone returned it and they wanted to get rid of it, but it was perfectly unopened) and he just couldn't resist. :)

Our schedules are a little off as well since it was the routine by the time hubby got home the mail arrived so he'd bring it in on the way in the door. Well he's already in the house now so we tend to forget about it until the next day (maybe Monday in the case of Saturday mail ) like we would usually do if it was an off day and he beat the mail guy home - or we had Late Larry who liked to deliver in the dark.

Since we've pretty consistently forgot about it, rather than forgetting about it we said we've been allowing the mail to self-quarantine, it only seemed right. :p

But it doesn't seem like a bad idea to let it isolate before handling. Shouldn't hurt anything and puts off those bills for another day ;)
OMG I’d forgotten his “name” was Late Larry 🤣 (I share the tale of Late Larry every time someone complains to me about the mail coming in late during that day!)

Well. There are mini legos, small legos, medium legos, large legos, jumbo legos and SO many more... You will get to know all of them. And will justify the purchases by saying “what if he’s destined to be an engineer?” 🤣

If he’s gonna be an engineer I’ll throw some paper towel rolls, string, and paper clips at him and see what he can make 😂

We buy a bunch of the Ravenburger Disney ones from B&N and Amazon. Amazon had a ton in stock a few days ago when I looked. Are they sold out already?? Crazy! We're doing a Thomas Kincade Disney one now. It's only 750 pieces but those are so hard that I swear they feel like 5000 pieces lol.

We did a beauty and the beast Thomas kinkade as our first puzzle and I think it ruined puzzles for us lol

I bought some 500 pc ones that come 4 to a box. All Kinkaid and all Disney. I have 3 boxes, so 12, and I love them all. :goodvibes

That's what dd19 pulled out last night for us to do. I think she misses BOG :(

This is perfect: My wife likes Thomas Kinkade art, likes jig-saw puzzles, and has a birthday coming up! Thanks folks!

Anyone have any suggestions for online places that sell puzzles (1,000 piece or more)? Amazon is pretty much wiped out. I managed to find two at our local Barnes and Noble (you can order online for pickup) but we are going to "need" more. I am so wishing that I had bought the 40,000+ piece Disney puzzle last Christmas.
My daughter found a place online and just ordered a few. I will check with her and get back to you!

My boy (like me) has zero interest in legos. My girl (who wants to me an engineer) loves them. But we're a weird family:)
Not weird. We never did the typical stereotype toys at our house. DD and DS loved Legos equally. There are some off brands you can get if the price is too much. DS spent a lot of time playing with DD’s hand me down Veterinarian Barbie.
DH was a SAHP when DS was little. I loved it when DS once said “when I grow up maybe I’ll be the one to work in my family”. He had no gender biased ideas.

My friends have that 40,000 piece Disney puzzle. Each section is very big at over 4,000 pieces. You need a large dedicated space to work on it. They happened to have their dining room that had not been furnished yet. They kept the puzzle on a large cardboard and the pieces on another board and worked on the floor. When they finally got dining furniture I don't think they ever worked on it again. I like puzzles but I would NEVER want that thing. It was stress inducing. They did finish maybe 3 of the panels but the whole thing will never be finished for multiple reasons.

I cannot agree with you on puzzles being boring but I can agree on legos being pricey. However, you are having a boy. So, all I can say is to save up!!

DS is deciding between some top engineering schools right now and he NEVER liked legos or any of the other building type toys. I think Knex was the other one. We donated many boxes of these toys that he would get for presents. He had zero interest in them. DH, also an engineer. also had zero interest in helping him with those type of things. Of course DS was a weird child and pretty much didn't like any toys. lol He was and IS the hardest kid to buy for. He never liked the thomas trains either, but we did get him the geotrax trains. It was an easy gift for a few years with buying new expansion pieces for birthday or Christmas. He only played with those if we played with him though, he would never just go play on his own. DH did like playing with those and building new track designs. lol
