While DD is making her second pan of quarantine brownies, I decided it was time to step on the scale. Still the same weight so YAY! I guess I'll be joining in the brownie eating later, lol

Currently watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks with DD and she's loving it which makes me so happy, one of my favorites.
Me too! I can’t stop crying today! I am an emotional wreck at the moment. I love teleworking but not so much with DS trying to do online school and driving me crazy and DH teleworking too. Not being able to escape the house. All of the canceled vacations and pretty sure my perfect 20th anniversary trip to return to Australia will be canceled for Aug. I am just over it!

I really want it. I roughly measured it and if we wrap it, we do have space in the living room. It would be on three walls. My LR is open to upstairs with a half wall up there on two sides of the LR and I think it would just fit. I'm not sure if I accurately measured the height of it though. I just can't quite seem to convince my husband. That looks like it's longer than a value room Who has a wall that big? Or the time to do all those pieces, that thing is huge.
We have a store called The Worlds Largest Candy Store and they have one on their outside wall. It’s amazing but I can’t imagine having it in my house! Dh would neverI really want it. I just tried this and it really is easy. I don’t have hair ties or bandanas so I used large rubber bands and some cloth napkins that I had in the linen closet but haven’t used in years. This morning DS and I wrapped wool scarves around our faces when we went to Safeway. It was unbearably warm and we kept getting fuzz in our mouths. We raced though our shopping in record time just so we could take off those scarves.A friend shared this link with me for a no-sew option. It's even easier than the last one I posted about.

On a non-puzzle topic, I will add that in some situations, a $100 application can be a great investment in the possibility of merit aid. Granted, this probably doesn't apply to most engineering schools which I think are usually found at large universities, but for those looking at liberal arts colleges, the awarding of financial aid can vary wildly from school to school (even those that you think would be comparable in terms of competitiveness). Having steered four kids through the college application process, every successive kid applied to more schools, because of the variances in merit aid packages. Yes, it was hard to get over the initial cost but it was worth it to have the additional options when they had to make a final decision.
Just saw that on a national news broadcast (which I'm afraid to name, now), but using rubber bands. I thought the hair ties (which I don't have) and sock elastic was an improvement. Easier on the ears, I figure. Thanks!

Oh, and even better idea. A friend of mine was making masks for her son to wear at work (as a nurse). She offered to make some for my parents (she lives in my hometown) and me. I said take care of your son and his team, then my parents (who are too old to tolerate this).
Anyway, she is sewing a pouch into each mask, then inserts a cut piece of HEPA filter (which are readily available). She is a mechanical genius! Thought this might be worth it's weight in gold over the next few weeks!
She made peanut butter frosting for the first batch so that might happen lol.Might as well throw on some frosting right?

Lucky! I stepped on the scale and it complained. DD made a loaf of pumpkin bread today since we finished up all the brownies yesterday. I'm afraid I'm going to gain and gain and gain.
Is anyone holding off booking 2021 trips? I was thinking we may travel more that year with these extra miles now but feel too unsettled to consider booking.
I was pretty bored today, too. I can't complain too much because we have nice weather and we're both at home healthy. We played way too many video games yesterday and today. It's fun though! I did make myself workout today doing abs and cardio so there's that. I also put away the dishes and loaded new ones into the dishwasher and watered our plants. I felt really tired all day though. I think a big thing for me is forcing myself to shower and get ready for the day so I don't feel so droopy. Here's what I did today... a whole lot of nothing. Mexican from the local place (we get takeout once a week but it is a hassle of cleaning the packaging, plating, reheating, 409ing the countertop before setting the plates down to eat, etc) - took a walk, did laundry, a 2 hour nap. I did Preen the landscape and DH fertilized the yard.
I'm so bloody bored.
I was just thinking about posting something like this. Does anyone else think 2020 may be a total travel loss? Our next planned vacation is to Whistler B.C. in mid July. I think about the odds of that trip happening daily. So I’m curious as to what others are thinking, and your hopes in terms of when we may get back to traveling. Do you think September-December is possible? We’re postponing our Disneyland trip to December, but some days I wonder if that is even possible. Would love to hear your thoughts about your upcoming travels. We cancelled our August trip It was free (no $ to redeposit miles) and Hilton/Hyatt were easy too. We will go up via car when GMILs memorial is and length of stay will depend on how the world is at that point. I’m sad but I couldn’t pass up free cancellation plus this trip had a lot of crowded spaces (hershey, aquarium, zoo, beach) and I don’t think *we* (as in our family) will be ready for that or flying by August.
