Best of the best. What brands will you not compromise on?

Oil of Olay facial moisturizer beats all, even the stupidly expensive ones.
Dishwasher: Cascade Platinum
Laundry: All Free
Hairbrush: Mason Pearson
Shoes: Dansko
Boat Bag: LL Bean
Rum: Captain Morgan
Cheddar Cheese: Cabot
Camembert: President
Chicken Noodle Soup: Campbell’s Chunky

Lucerne is Safeway's store brand in the United States.

Lucerne is also a Canadian milk brand. Not connected to Safeway.
https://www.obviouslygoodmilk.ca/en/lucerne-products
And according to this, it is also their store brand in Canada. That has to be confusing to have two companies selling dairy products under the same brand name. https://www.agcanada.com/daily/agropur-to-buy-safeway-dairy-plants-in-west

EDITED: Okay, there are the SAME brand. AGROPUR in 2014 bought the Safeway dairies in western Canada and starting using the Safeway Lucerne brand on their dairy products too.

Interesting! And now there is some kind of agreement for the US to sell dairy products to Canada. Canada allows the milk from cows injected with hormones, but does not allow their own cows to be injected with hormones.

Just tried Promised Land Chocolate Milk and it's rich and divine!

My brother lives close to the Noosa plant in Colorado. Not only do they make yummy yogurt, but also the richest, creamiest chocolate milk I’ve ever had! No one can tell me it’s the same as every other grocery store brand! ;)

Tide and Persil - sensitive skin, only two we can use, and I still have to have an extra rinse...

Dawn

Hidden Valley Ranch or Litehouse Ranch ( refrigerator section) ...

Pop Tart's - no store brand for my family, I tired once and you would think I had lost my mind, they way they looked at me... LOL

Dove for Sensitive Skin body wash

Secret Deodorant - solid, powder fresh... I have used it for years, and it is the only thing I can use.

Neutrogena products - face wash, face wipes, sunscreen, face lotion, and on and on the list goes..

Fair-life milk

Colgate toothpaste, have tried others, and always end up back with Colgate.

Listerine mouthwash

Coke, Diet Coke, Canada Dry Ginger Ale -

Zephyrhills bottle water

Boar's Head Deli meat

Vlasic or Claussen (refrigerator section) Pickles

Chips Ahoy or Oreo's... real deal... again with the mom lost her mind look... LOL - if I make homemade cookies then that's okay, and they love whatever... as far as store bought nope only Oreo's and Chips Ahoy...

Club Crackers, or Town house... my family doesn't like Ritz for whatever reason..

DH - house beer Coors light.. he enjoys different beers but for at home Coors Light only.

I'm sure there are more, just what I can think of right now...

Soda - DR PEPPER - Mr. Pibb is NOT Dr Pepper
Laundry Detergent - All Free and Clear
TP - Charmin Red
Daily Perfume - Donna Karen Cashmere Mist
Toothpaste - Sensodyne or Crest
Baked beans - Bush's
Cornbread - Jiffy
Soap - Oil of Olay
DH Soap - Dial
Deo - Secret
Maxipads - Always
Tampons - Kotex U
Dish washing liquid - Dawn
Lotion - Gold Bond
BBQ Sauce - KC Masterpiece

Hmmm after typing out that list I'm rather picky about some items. I've trained my DH well. He knows when it comes to these items don't even try to walk through those doors with an alternative. Anything else I could care less.

Tide detergent
Yorkshire Gold tea
Charmin Toilet Paper
Saran Wrap plastic wrap (the new slider cutter is awesome)
Dawn
Siggi or Chobani yogurt, most store brand and some name brand "greek" yogurt just add cornstarch for texture they don't actually use the correct method of yogurt making
Fairlife choc milk is my splurge. super creamy and way less sugar

pretty much everything else I will buy store brand of.

Detergent - Tide
Toilet Paper - Cottonelle or Scott (not Scott 1000 :-) )
Disney stuff - has to be FROM Disney or Disney store...don't give me store bought Disney :-)
Mac N Cheese - Kraft
Mayo - Hellmans
Ketchup - Heinz

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
Blue Dawn dish soap - best at cutting grease
Cool mint Listerine
Neutrogena sunscreen
Cerave foaming facial wash - affordable with neutral pH
Old Spice deodorant - I'm a girl, but they have scents that don't smell so "masculine" like Lavender and Fiji which I prefer over the floral powdery stuff aimed towards women.

Everything else is up for grabs, whatever is on sale. Kirkland brand is pretty awesome. And pre-COVID we used the bulk section at Winco for pantry staples.

I love Sweet Baby Ray's! It's my favorite BBQ sauce hands down!

My daughter is a huge Old Spice fan. I thought it was just her, but a lot of her college friends use it as well. I may have to give it a whirl since I can't find anything I care for.

Charmin ultra soft toilet paper.

Growing up we always had the store brand/basically 1 ply/scratchy/cheapest option available because we were on a really tight budget. Now that I am grown, I have a serious "thing" about which type of toilet paper I buy. I really don't mind store brand or generics of anything else and will purchase whatever is on sale but I will not compromise in this one area 🤣

My husband laughs at me over this "childhood toilet paper trauma" situation that I apparently have going on:rotfl2:

Tampax and Always pads, won’t buy anything else!

Gold toe socks...but I am having a hard time finding the ones I like ...JCP & Kohl’s had almost none I store.

Dawn original blue
Bounty paper towels
Cetaphil face wash
Neutrogena sunscreen
Boar's Head deli meats and Publix subs
Dove chocolate

I like a good bargain too much to be too picky, but here are mine:

Mayo - Best Foods Light.
DIet coke or diet pepsi, whatever is cheaper
Bar soap - Dove white bar

I really like Kirkland TP/Papertowls but mostly because they are awesome and always the cheapest price.
